Use/Reuse cardboard sleeves with RFID

I hear that you can reuse for empty sleeves with the RFID tag, I’ve been looking for a source for PLA, PETG and ABS sleeves. Just wondering if it’s worth it.

I use them again for Convience. I use bambulab filament and 3d jake eco pla, the 3d jake eco pla prints perfectly with the mabu settings.

Yes, I have been using Kingroon PLA and PETG also Inland from Microcenter and using Bambu settings for both brands and had very good results. I’m looking for the RFID tags so I can tape them on their spools with correct type and color.

Other topic, but i mentioned it there, they are still propietary.

Some tried to decrypt them, but the progress prograstinated.

If you use Bambu lab RFID tags. I don’t think they would work unless you go the exact same filament. This rfid has the filament info on them.

If you are looking for non Bambu lab RFID tags, I don’t see how they would work either. You would have to know their hex code for that filament etc.

But there may be a way I just don’t see it

Well they work. If you have an filament that matches the printing settings.

I guess people could sell their used BL RFIDs on somewhere like eBay,

Probably don’t need the cardboard tube so postage should be quite cheap.

Also you could probably sell the two RFIDs individually if buyer’s don’t mind being restricted to odd or even slots in the AMS,

Could probably design on one of those centre reels desiccant holders to have a space to slot RFIDs into too.
