Visual Difference between a Steel Hotend and a Hardened Steel hot end?

I bought a 0.4 and a 0.6 hardened steel hot end assy to start running CF and looking at the assemblies, I could see no difference in the 0.4 steel that came in the P1P and the 0.4 assembly hardened steel that I just bought. How can I tell them apart if they get mixed for some reason? Anybody notice this? The colors of both type nozzles are the same.

The hardened steel ones have a black heatsink.

Different types of steel often look pretty much the same. Is there any marking on them?

It can be difficult to tell in certain light, but the 0.2 stainless steel assembly is silver, while the 0.6 hardened steel assembly is black.

Thanks for the feedback. I was in a low light situation and didn’t have the two side by side. I appreciate the quick response.

as other people said here - they are different in color.
Hardened is always black heat sink.
X1C normal nozzle is gray-ish.
A1 normal nozzle is white-gray-ish
