VOTE: Feature Request (Suggestions for Improvement)

The slicer displaying the completion time would be nice and when turning to sport or ludicrous speed it would be nice if the temperature increased automatically to compensate for the amount of filament that need to be melted

I would love to have the nozzle cleanup option while printing, something that we could set after how many layers to clean, because there are filaments that need this more than others.

The printer should be able to format all sizes of SD cards. I am a windows guy, and the X1 Carbon couldn’t format my 512GB card to FAT32, and neither could my Win computer. I had to go back to Best Buy, where I picked up the card, and the Mac guy there was kind enough to reformat it while I stood there.

I don’t know that there is a limit on the card size for an unformatted card. What I have found is that most FAT32 devices with formatting capability will not re-format a card. They simply refuse to recognize the card. Since most large capacity cards I’ve purchased arrive pre-formatted as exFAT, this can be a problem.

Windows by itself will not apply a FAT32 file structure to a card larger than 32Gb, but there are many Windows utilities that will, many of them free. I use Rufus, another popular choice is EaseUS Partition Master..

My no1 feature would be to select in bambu studio if there should be any calibration before the print. 6 Minute startup time is just too much. Heat up and go, that’s what I need

This is already possible. You can deselect Flow Calibration, Bed Leveling etc when you “Print plate” from Bambu studio.

I know I sounded confusing. But what do you get from turning all of those off? The printer is still calibrating and calibrating for 6 minutes. It was really a hard time going through 15+ iterations of a 3 minute part this way.

Well turning off the Flow calibration means that the printer doesn’t print the multiple lines at the front of the build plate.

Turning off bed leveling means that the printer won’t do a full bed level at the start of the print.

Both of these save start up time.

There are ways to shorten the start up further but that involves editing the “Start Gcode” and it is not something that you can toggle on and off.

That’s what I was trying to say. Unfortunately there’s no g-code documentation, otherwise I’d go through the startup code. The profiles I found so far were not be able to deal with the oozing petg brings.

@Thermal_Runaway has a good breakdown on most of the specific Gcode Bambu uses.

# Gcode Commands for Bambu X1 Printers

## Overview

This wiki provides documentation over BambuLabs Gcode, specifically for the X1 series. A majority of these commands work on other Bambu devices, but we have not tested on other devices. Several of these commands are being documented for the first time, and please take caution when using them. See below for information on the commands that X1Plus uses.

Oh, thank you very much. This looks interesting.

Z-live… please. I don’t understand why it doesn’t perform this basic function.

i suggest adding more colors to the template and adding an option for dual / tri color filaments

das währe sehr hilfreich so was in der Art

FWIW: The 32GB limit for formatting FAT32 on Windows be gone in the next Windows 11 servicepack 24H2 release:

Here’s something simple that I’d like to see implemented. When servers are down, allow for the firmware of printers to communicate between computer that has bambu studio, and the printer, without needing cloud access. especially when the printer and computer in question is on the same router and network.

I understand that we have “Lan Mode” but that kills cloud connectivity, it doesnt solve the problem mentioned.

Full filament rolls hangs up and get stuck on the first stage feeders i the AMS.
I would love a fix for this… :face_with_peeking_eye:

That would be absolutely awesome when a full box of poorly wound up boxes pops up with the rolled up threads protrude like an inch beyond the rolls… sigh

So a solution would be :+1::partying_face::+1:

An other suggestion,
When you press
“print plate”
and the pop-up window giving the choice of “which printer scrollbar”
(Along with those 4 other choice boxes “□Camera, □Etc”)

I would love a simple fifth checkbox/scrollbar option
“□All of your connected Printers”

How I imagined such a feature, and that would be lovely!

I have something i would like to add but i doibt anyone will see this, but first off i think during print while the tool head is switching out filament i should BE ABLE TO CHANGE SLOT MATCHING! If we can have the ams detect empty rolls and switch to the next color THAT ONLY WORKS IF YOU HAVE TWO OF THE SAME BAMBU REELS AND NOT BY MANUAL CLICKING. Then die a print if like right now I have a three day print going into day four only 60 percent done because my slot four is pushing the filament out faster than the bambu reel can spin this cause it to repeat tangles over and over this stopping my orintbor break the filament at the tool head about 1 meter long. I WANT TO BE ABLEBTI SAY OH MY SLOT FOUR BANK B ISNT ACTING UP LETS MORE THE FILAMENT TO SLOT 2 MAYBE BANK A. I shouldnt be solo set to that slot only because at the start i told the file to use it. I think during color swaps i should be able to relocate what slot i wish to use.

ALSO NOTHING IRKS MY SOUL MORE THAN ME SENDING A JOB TO THE PRINTER AND BEING DONE WITH THAT FILE. AS I SWITCH TO A NEE FILE PULLED UP IN A 2ND WINDOW AND THE FIRST WINDOW POPS UP OVER MY NEW PROJECT JUST TO SHOW ME THE TOOL HEAD IS HEATED UP WHENEVER THE OTHER FIVE REASON I KEEP GETTING INTERRUPTED FOR NO GOOD REASON AT ALL! HAVING TO CLICK RIGHT BACK INTO MY OTHER WINDOW! IF I WANT TI CHECK ON THE START OF THE PRINT THEN ILL GO BACK AND LOOK AT IT MYSELF. SO ANNOYING THAT IT DOES IT.

Last off the ams boxs need to be better built if you think that hunk of plastic is worth $350 like at least make metal walls in the hub or something
