What's the deal with this access code?

As far as I understand the access code for the printer is there to prevent mis-use of some sort.
My machine operates in my local network, not through the cloud.
And for some reason I find it annoying that always at the worst possible time Studio claims my access code for my printer is wrong.

I noticed two different scenarios so far:
A) Studio looses the code as, upon checking on the the machine, it is still the same I wrote down.
B) The printer seemingly randomly changes the access code.

Why canā€™t we set ONE code and keep using it?
Why does the code never stick?
Sometimes it is a few weeks, sometimes I need to enter a new code twice within one week - makes no sense.
Any clues or preferably solutions ?

I lack experience with LAN mode, but the solution depends on BL as it is a feature, not a bug, and assuming clues means reasoning; it is likely security, as the apps require a new login monthly. A more straightforward solution could be using the mobile verification system, if possible.

I did now, thanks.

So this problem is indeed very old and very ignored by Bambu :frowning:
But monthly is something I canā€™t really confirm as it happens more often on my machine.
Either way, a PERMANENT code, one the user can set would be appreciated hereā€¦

I understand. I sometimes feel annoyed with this kind of verification, and itā€™s on the mobile phone, so I bet it is even worth it if I need to go to the printer for that.

You may have better luck by posting in the feature request; if you wish, you can ask BL staff or a regular user to move the post to that section.

I am completely locked out of Bambu Studio and my Orca Slicer thanks to this 2FA!!! I was using both I have Creality printers I use Orca for I know I can use it for my X1C also but have had issues with Linux Mint, Orca and my X1C so I just use Bambuā€™s for the X1C.

I noticed first having issues with Orca, I was using the Creality printer then went to use Bambu Slicer and it had the same startup issue. I uninstalled Bambu Slicer and reinstalled the flatpack then when loging in was greated with the 2FA. After four of five times trying to enter the code sent from BBL I was able to log in. I went back to Orca and tried to start it again and had the same startup issue and just tryig to start Orca caused my Bambu Slicer to get the startup issue back.

Give us a way to disable this 2FA for our Bambu accounts.

Hereā€™s a thought: OVERKILL MUCH ???

First we pay a small fortune for a printer we donā€™t really own.
Than it has to have an account we donā€™t really need.
Only so that all this results in us having to deal with access problems based on Bambu security needs in our own homes and our own secure networksā€¦

Multiple communication protocols and methods in use, with several different certificates required to establish ā€˜secureā€™ communications.
I mean sure, if I wanted the most secure 3D printer in the world I could go even further - or just add a freaking Ethernet port for crying out loud.

The MQTT broker got broken and now makes Panda owners very unhappy.
And guess what ??!!
I somehow think that intentionally breaking these Lan-only options to claim it is best to prevent damage is a blunt lie.
It is not just the Panda Touch that uses certain communication ways but also users trying to get more out of their machines.
None of this would be required if Bambu would just use standard Wifi communication like literally any other device we have.
Coincidence that every time Bambu makes things even safer our struggles increase as well?
Yes, for now the access code seems to stick but soon the printer will demand another change of code and the nightmare starts all over.

With the hacking of the X1 and custom firmware made possible Bambu claimed they suddenly changed mind and stand all behind people wanting to actually own their printer and to use them as they please.
All we find for the P1 or A1 series though is ā€œpendingā€ - one firmware release after the other with the always same claims and excuses why we still canā€™t own and fully control our printersā€¦
Takes 5 minutes to remove the access code requirements from the firmware and 10 more to deal with those certificate requirements to implement your own or go without.
The biggest thing though would be the possibility to install the Marlin flavour that suits you most and to import from other forks.
And what would we have then ? Just another cheap printer with a total lack of connectivity thanks to the missing Ethernet port and the sub-standard Wifi moduleā€¦

I bet you that before we are allowed ownership over our printers Bambu will first release their next generation of ā€˜improvedā€™ 3D printersā€¦
