When I insert the filament, the feeder's detection sensor detects it

Hello!

(sorry for my bad english)

I have exactly the second issue mentionned in the wiki:

When you insert the filament, the feeder’s detection sensor detects it, but the motor still does not respond, the gears will not turn to pull the filament in;

The problem is mentionned but there is no solution… Any idea please?

Many thank’s!

Edit this is video of the problem:

Try pushing the filament down further. If that still doesn’t work, contact Bambu Lab’s support

thank but I still have the problem… :sob:

The AMS is 2 weeks old and it already borken…

I just uploaded a video of the problem (see the first message)

I open a ticket…

What brands of filament do you use?

Hello! thank you!

I tried Esun, Sunlu and bambulab and this the same thing… :pensive:

Hi Calagan57:

I’m no expert at this, but this is my guess:

  1. Double check that see that you’ve got your AMS cable plugged into the correct location. See this link and make sure you have yours connected like this: https://youtu.be/qFIjg7sH9BY?t=254

  2. I can’t tell from your video, but are any of the LED lights on next to the filament funnels? They should come on when you try and insert filament into the hole. And you only need to stick in it about 1-2 inches, and it should “wake up” and start pulling the filament in.

If i look at your video, the feeder seems to be broken. I would think the gears are broken, maybe the electric motor. Try to remove the 1st stage feeder and check the gears.

As @kb6kcp menitoned you should not push the filament that hard. Only a 2-4 cm and the feeder should grab it.
