thanks - mine (on the slicer) says “not supported by this model of printer!” :frowning: and i don’t see the browse video option in the app… i have a p1p - is this a limitation of this printer?

I download my time lapse video’s in the Handy App

Granted my printer is an X1C but it should make no difference

In the top right of the app click on the 3 bars

Select browse videos and they should be there

Sometimes its a bit glitchy and will give a message of Device connect failed so I’ll hit the play icon for live video first then it opens the videos fine

The P1P doesn’t have a camera unless you upgraded it.

I bought the p1p recently and it comes with light and camera. Does the Timelapse just not work even with a camera installed?

On the P1P you have to put the SD card into a computer to transfer and view the timelapse videos. I hope they will integrate remote access to recordings and timelapse videos via app or Bambu Studio.

People with the X1C please stop responding. The answer is different for the P1P.

On the P1P the timelapse videos are on the SD card. You need to take it out of the printer and put into your computer to view the files.

Has anyone got the answer yet?

What do you mean? The answer was posted in April 28th.
The timelapses are saved on the SD-Card. Take it out of the P1P, put it into a card reader on the computer. Copy the timelapses from the SD-Card. Then put the SD-Card back into the P1P.

I use an FTP to move them to my PC, but only do it whilst not printing, I learned the hard way that it will interrupt the print

I’ve read that the printer should be able to contiue when the card is reinserted. I haven’t actually tried it, but would be curious to find out. Maybe with a small test print inbetween prints.

I have (accidentally) verified the P1P will successfully continue if the memory card is removed and reinserted during a print.

yes its on the micro SD card on in the printer

I just got a P1S for Christmas and was wondering this - got the same error in Studio (not supported) and dont have an option in the Handy app

Is there some other way to see these?

Only when you pop the SD card into a PC or Mac. There’s currently no real way to transfer the videos wirelessly from the printer, other than via FTP. But the FTP method is slow, you’ll be waiting hours for a few 100MB. This is all due to hardware limitations in the P series. The controller/compute unit on the P series is not powerful enough to facilitate such features.

Hmm okay, thanks
I was using octoprint on my ender 3 before this upgrade, machine is a million times better so far, but doesn’t seem like data transfer should be that slow - even watching the live video is 1 frame every 5 seconds or something

Is there any way to hook up a pi or similar to do this faster?

The live video is so slow, because the camera in the P series is a 720p camera at 0.5 FPS.
So it does one frame every two seconds.

The X-Series has a better camera at 30fps and a compute/control unit that can actually handle that and more (the touchscreen).

For the P-series, the camera is good enough to take a look from time to time if leaving the machine unattended. But other than that, don’t expect a cinema-like experience.
