Where do you upload the config file with your model?

I have uploaded a CyberBrick model (nothing special), but, there wasn’t a place to provide a config file.

I uploaded the model the same as all other models I have uploaded.

There are no questions asking if this is a CyberBrick model during upload. Nothing in the edit.

The additional file section doesn’t list config or CyberBrick.

The wiki doesn’t detail the upload process or mention anything about associating a config file to a model.

A few models do have them, so it’s possible, but, many don’t, so they also need to know.

@CyberBrick do you mind helping out?

There isn’t a MakerWorld category to denote the model as specifically CyberBrick to trigger an extra question either as I have already suggested should be added.

Hey man - the Cyberbrick option will appear after selecting “Yes (earn extra points reward)” on the Do you have a Bambu Studio file question. See screenshot below:

I wouldn’t be surprised though if it doesn’t appear on your end yet as the roll out seem to be still propagating to the global servers. I suggest trying a hard refresh on the page or clear your browser cache. If this doesn’t help, you can assume that the changes has not propagated yet on the server on the corner of the world you’re located.

I know this cause I too had my two Cybebrick models uploaded without the option to upload the config/json file and the MW/CB team had to assist me to get my models categorized as Cyberbrick-compatible. I only saw the Cyberbrick option starting yesterday when all other designers who are also in the US seem to have it work on their end 2 days ago.

Please be advised as well that Cyberbrick-compatible submissions undergo manual verification which takes longer time to become publicly visible compared to non-Cyberbrick submissions. And I believe after this manual verification that they also add the model to the Cyberbrick-compatible collection.

I do not have this option, screenshot from just now.

They HATE people from the U.K.!

I have been a big promoter of this thing!

I have a few models close to launch.

I appreciate the tip.

@CyberBrick @MakerWorld where is the CyberBrick specific models option when I upload?

Why are you keeping this from people?

I received the review units which do not work with the new apps and I have been told the ones I have can’t export the config files.

As you have decided replying to reviewers is too much work (most of my questions have gone unanswered as they have with all the reviewers) can you publish some information to us to help us get over the last stage?

We all know you hate to communicate, but, we are those selected by you to receive review units. This is an embarrassment to us and to you. We are meant to be promoting this project and we are left feeling used and abandoned.

Only some of the of those provided review units have the option to set it as a CyberBrick project.

Hi Malc,

Thank you for sharing your feedback — we hear your frustration, and I’d like to clarify the situation.

The CyberBrick project has gone through several phases of internal testing, and as a result, different creators have interacted with different versions of the hardware and software. Some joined as early as Q3 2024, when much of the tooling and workflow were still evolving. To avoid unnecessary confusion or inconsistent expectations, we’ve been managing progress on a case-by-case basis. That’s why you rarely see a public announcement on specific instructions regarding the boards - and it’s not that “we hate communication”.

The upload option has not been intentionally withheld — rather, it’s part of a grayscale feature set that is still being tested. This includes the user interface for uploading, the JSON validation rules, and our manual review workflow. Until all pieces are stable, we’ve limited access to ensure contributors aren’t misled or blocked by incomplete infrastructure.

In your case, you joined the review program after the Kickstarter launch. All creators in this same phase have been treated consistently: once a project is functionally sound and well-prepared, we enable upload permissions. This approach is not meant to exclude anyone, but to help ensure that early public content reflects a solid experience and builds trust in the CyberBrick platform.

If you’re ready to submit, we’d love to support you. Please send your project assets (images, demo videos, print profiles, JSON configs, and assembly instructions) to us via email. We’ll follow up with the verification and upload process, as well as the board firmware update. Previously, we have not seen progress updates of your projects, hence these did not happen. Maybe we miscommucated and you considered it’s more of a self-served process where people can upload right away when they finish.

We understand how frustrating silence can be, and we genuinely apologize for unanswered questions. We are facing serious bandwidth constraints — both in team capacity and communication — and have been prioritizing the quality and stability of core deliverables over broadcasting every step mid-development. Once the system is fully verified, we’ll open these features to all MakerWorld creators and publish clear guidelines.

We appreciate your continued support, and we hope you’ll see this not as abandonment, but as part of a necessary phased release that ultimately benefits all creators.

Thanks again,
The CyberBrick Team

Dunno, it looked fine to me.

Just don’t review stuff! That’s working swell for the community tab!

I have contacted you asking for this, I have received no response.

I have contacted you multiple times, almost all have gone unanswered.

Erm…

I have already uploaded the first without the required config because despite a handful getting the new option, I haven’t.

  1. My review units do not connect to the desktop or mobile apps which are required to create the correct format config file.
  • I have reached out to you and heard nothing.
  • I have posted here on the forum reaching out to you about it.

Despite you saying I have not reached out, which I have, despite you saying you respond, which you don’t.

  1. A handful of others have the UI shared by @Zammer3D, which many of the rest of do not have.
  • I have posted here on the forum reaching out to you about it.

Despite you saying you do this manually, evidence proves this is not true. Moreover, you have NEVER privately told me I have to submit models through you manually despite all your public information saying nothing about this manual process.

  1. The few who managed to submit their models required the config through the desktop and mobile apps using the new firmware I have asked for and have heard no response.
  • You knew I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this, you never told me when you sent the equipment or since.
  • You knew I didn’t have the latest firmware, you never told me when you sent the equipment or since.

You can’t suggest you would have done more if only I bothered to communicate with you when my many emails have gone unanswered.

From one of the only two emails I ever received despite sending many. This was at the end of March, the last time you responded.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner

Your first words.

You also told me the forum is the only place you would bother to look at…

You’re very welcome to continue discussions in the forum

True to your word, you have not responded to anything from my emails and this response is disingenuous at best as it makes up things that are not true.

Also, can you explain how this (which you said doesn’t exist) does actually exist and is the opposite of how you said the process should work (from your reply above)?

For the avoidance of doubt, I HAVE reached out to get the update to the review boards so I can use them with the desktop and mobile apps.

Can I get the firmware upgrade?

You tell me if only I reached out and then admit you haven’t been responding to people.

Yet I remind you, you told me you would only provide further information in the public.

You’re very welcome to continue discussions in the forum

As I have shared elsewhere, I am trying really hard to promote this project as I genuinely believe it has legs and you are doing your utmost to stifle the enthusiasm I had.

I have ordered many sets and I am hopefully in the first batch to be sent, but, I have no idea if/when as no information has been shared to tell us any batches and which ones have been shipped and likely arrival times will be in each country.

As only reviewers have the units, you are saying you do not have the resources for even those few people. What on earth are you going to do when/if people receive their pledges?

Many of this will wish to upload. Given you promised to ship on the 15th (still no idea if you did), it should be just a few days before people receive them and start submitting their models, with many likely close to upload now.

This was a comment for Bambu Lab as a whole, but, you have to agree, you haven’t communicated well.

Most of the promised dates for things came and went and little or no acknowledgment of those failures materialised.

You promised me the standard remote would be available for me to print before April, That promise came and went, the public promise came and went. The wiki and other information was late, the shipping was delayed by a month, we found this out after the kickstarter campaign ended.

Don’t tell me you don’t hate to communicate when the evidence tells the truth.

I still have not heard from you.

I reached out by email before I posted this originally.

I responded to your reply again asking for support, you still have nit done anything.

You said people have no means to upload their models during the normal process, yet so many have this, screenshots of at least one are in this post.

I asked for the new firmware here and in the earlier email, you said I would get them, I have nothing.

You are withholding Kickstarter orders with no public announcement that anyone with a Timelapse purchase are nit getting their order anytime soon.

Your ticket people have no idea what they are talking about and instead of answering questions they throw out boilerplate that ignores the question asked.

I can’t produce the JSON you need until I get the firmware to update the review kit you knew wouldn’t work without it and you chose not to share it automatically with me or others.

Poor all of us. I assume you have chosen not to share the firmware update with any of us?

Where and when was this ever disclosed as you never did to me.

Can I get the firmware update I keep asking for, please?
