I want an answer on that. I use a1 mini and print fishing lures. I print using bambu pla matte,since it was for finer printings,but after some really GOOD hits on rocks and fish, the cracked…And they cracked REALLY good… So,what s the strongest,toughest (i don t know the proper words) filament i can use to print with a1 mini (i don t have an enclosure…)?
Out of curiosity, what infill do you use?
Seeing that the fishing lures are not that big, I would presume you could use filament like ABS & ASA.
Search YouTube… I bet quite a few people have tried.

I know asa is stronger and ideal,but i cannot print it without closed cabinet,my a1 mini is open.

Try TPU for AMS.
It’s easy enought to print and it will resist shocks.
Another method to achieve a good 100% infill is the use of 999 wall’s. Works great in particular when coupled with the Arachne wall generator.
As for impact resistance, TPU is the way to go.

I think if you try TPU with 100% infill, it’s not going to be as flexible as you think.
Every material has some flexibility. Even steel. For a high impact resistance, a good elasticity is required.
With TPU, a large range of hardnesses/flexibilities is available. TPU with a hardness of 85A, the softest available from Bambu and quite challenging to dial in, is about as soft as the sole of a shoe (when printed solid). The more commonly printed TPU 95A is about as soft flexible as a skateboard wheel while the TPU for AMS (I recall shore hardnesses of either 63D or 68D) compares to the flexibility of a golf ball or a wooden yard stick.
So, flexible is a very relative term.
Good info here. Just be careful with the “shore” designation, it appears the 63D and 68D would be harder than the 85A and 95A.
Yes, only hard TPU is compatible with the AMS.
TPU 95A can be printed from the rear spool while TPU 85A needs to feed freely from the top into the extruder.
I would not rule out TPU. Printed with high infill, it is pretty solid and will have very high impact resistance.
Without an enclosure, I think your only other choice is PETG, which is slightly more impact resistant than PLA, but not even close to TPU in that respect.

TPU for AMS is seriously impact resistant. I’ve printed 5 inch wheels and hit them with a hammer multiple times and nothing happened. It’s hard. Think of hard hats and shopping cart wheels. It’s barely flexible
You can use TPU for AMS without an AMS.
But chose that specifically as it’s more rigid than the normal TPU.
It’s rigid enought for your aplication and will last any shock with the rocks.
fishing lures should be TPU for flexability, but temps are important and cant use AMS for TPU…
What about TPU for AMS? That’s could fit the description you just gave.
