has anyone run into this problem while printing in PETG-HF ? I am getting what looks like a white staining while printing face down plate has already been thoroughly cleaned and untouched by hands. chamber completely cleaned..
Past prints can affect the plate surface and that can the be printed into new prints. This can happen especially if the plate/print wasn’t allowed to fully cool before peeling the old print off.
It’s one of the reasons I use liquid glue on my textured PEI prints. It hides plate defects.
This could also potentially be stress discoloration.
OP, you may wish to pass a torch over the surface very quickly, it may be enough to make it disappear.
Looks like typical black filament thing, you’ll get this on black PLAs too, even on brand new plates
Use a torch or better, heat gun like dewalt 20v etc.
Well the touch definitely took care of that. however I would love to know that is causing it..
only on PETG-HF. and on the P2S I am printing the same lid on the P1S to see if it replicates to determine if is machine setting or a filament issue.
Ps it appears when printing a blk/wht combination
I mean this is a pretty well documented things for black PLAs too, heat stress/stress fractures irrc. On some plates that auto releases print when cooled it can be avoided somewhat
I did a test print last night and cooled overnight and still there.. so I am starting to think that is a bed temp issue maybe lowering the temp a few degrees on the bed. and test again.. I don’t have an adhesion problem.the plate new so that won’t be an issue
So I just removed the lid form the P1S same issue.. and it carried over from the p2s. so I am Thinking is a temp distress problem, the print profile from Bambu calls for 245 temp on the nozzle and 70 on the bed.. I think to lower by 10 degrees. on the bed or the first few layers..
