Why does it sound like AMS2 is dying every time I load filament?

When asking for help, please provide as much information as possible about your inquiry.
Including pictures and detailed information about the printer model, print speeds, filament type and settings used will help get the appropriate solutions.
It is also recommended to include a .3mf file of the model you are trying to print. This ensures the suggestions received will be more accurate.

Every time I load filament, it sounds like it is going to crunch itself to bits, I don’t understand why it has to roll filament all the way down the filament paths every time I put a roll in, and then randomly do it to other filaments also. This is with full rolls, not so full rolls, plastic and card reels. The reels jam all the time.

I showed this to Bambu lab email technicians and they said it’s “normal” despite the concerning sounds. Yours sounds like the teeth of the gears are not actually meshed and they are trying to eat eachother ? Then makes a loud bang then actually takes the filament ?
