I have a x1c with ams. In bambo studio I pull in any stl, right-click the stl and select slot 4 (blue). The model turns blue in bambo studio. I then select slice plate, looks good. I then select print plate and it tells me it is going to use slot 3 (brown).
Why is the print stuck on slot 3 even though I selected slot 4?
The AMS slots look correct on the printer screen, colors are correct etc. In bambo studio I select refresh AMS and it does, looks correct.
ReSync the AMS, what changed? My bet is you are mixing up changing the color temporarily on the sidebar colors and not what was set in the AMS/VID/BED/NOZ control panel, which is what actually shows what you set it up physically for
I think I see the problem. I would select generic petg or whatever the filament was from the screen of the printer. I would then sync with bambo studio. From bambu studio I would edit the temps etc to more match the filament. I figure doing this from BS is easier than from the printer screen.
I think that’s where the problem is, editing the AMS filaments somehow causes things to get confused.
If I just load 4 filaments, select the generic filament types, select sync from BS and just print, everything works as it should. It’s when I edit the filament in BS that starts causing an issue.
Is the printer screen configuration the “golden” configuration? Meaning that is the master set and editing it in BS is secondary? How would I sync BS to the printer instead of the other way?
Once you “branch” your settings off the “master” profile that tweaked that profile is then your own to play with completely separate from the parent, the AMS still needs to know that profile and its location tied (to which slot) to work.
The slicer tells it the parameters based on what you’ve selected before hitting slice, you can reassign that profile to any slot you want but it will default to what this screen says
Is there a way to have my slicer filament profiles sync back to the printer? For example, I have a few rolls of prusament, I set up my parameters in the slicer, slicer and send but it never shows that slot as prusa filament, just shows generic petg with whatever color I select.
