Every time I try to use 0.2 nozzle on my X1C with multiple filaments, I run into issues that should not be issues. This tiny squish in the filament from either heat creep, tight gears, or too much force is enough to ruin my print by getting stuck in the line or in the extruder itself. What can I do to permanently fix this problem?
I also run into every AMS spool size problem at almost every layer. I found an upgraded ams 3d print that will hopefully work to fix this. It’s just really frustrating.
Also, feature request, I need a sound alert to get my attention when errors occur. If I don’t get right on it and I let the print cool before I fix it, there can be a weak layer that ruins the print. I think some layers or steps are also getting skipped rather than resuming where the print left off when I hit resume or retry because some of these issues have led to floating printing.
Also, Bambu Labs, you need to give us control when the printing stops like this. I need the extruder to let go of the filament so I can pull it back and clip it, or to even heat the nozzle. Currently the manual controls are locked even at this point in printing when it’s vital to prevent a failed print.
Thanks, but I already use the smooth PEI plate. The clogs happen mid print, not first layer. I read drying even new filament, which this is, helped others, so I’ll try that. I’ll also lower print temp to 190 for this PLA silk that keep clogging in the extruder, since it is heat creep on a level anyway.
If you read the post you would have seen that he uses the cool plate for PLA with the 0.2 nozzle because the bed/chamber temperatures used for the high temperature, smooth PEI and textured PEI cause it to clog.
Ok, I’ll give that a try.

Solution: Drying the filament solved the problem. Cool plate changed nothing.
