Yet another thing about BiQU buildplates I don't like

Oh well, when you print on the textured PEI plates from BIQU, I found out that with every plate I have (3 pieces) the white ink comes from the plate and shows in the print itself. This happens on the Textured PEI side.

I have this on the following plates:

  • Textured PEI - Smooth PEO
  • Textured PEI - Smooth PEI (triangels grid)
  • Textured Pei - Smooth PET (carbon look)

You can’t wash it off, it shows in about 10 prints, and then the white lines are gone and the plate is clean to use.

Especially for prints like this, this completely ruins your print and you can start over again, because the bottom side is the side to show.

Do other people also have this problem?

By the way, this is Basic PLA filament, nothing special, not PETG.

What kind of ■■■■ is that? Do you think you got a defective one or are they all like that?

I have this problem on all 3 plates i have.

You gotta be kidding… I bought like 5 of them during their black Friday sale. At this point they’ve shafted me so many times it’s definitely a “shame on me situation”. And when I saw them I wondered about that too. No… more… BIQU… They are really reaching with the Panda line. I don’t know if you saw but the newest product is the “Panda Edge” and it’s a bed scraper lol.

Well, the truth is of course that i bought these buildplates for their other sides, the effect sides. But they are double sided, and i will never ever use the textured side again for things that have to be shown or photographed.

Unfortunately mine are all double sided textured PEI  I guess I can just use them for prototyping until the ink wears off. At least they were cheap I guess.

Oh damn… well good luck then.

Thanks for the heads up, I had been looking at some of their plates. I wonder why they put the grid on there in the first place?

those are their old plates no white stuff on the pro series

Nah, I don’t think old and new are the correct way to describe the differences between the plates. You are talking about the Frostbite and Glacier plates (CryoGrip), and they are great because they don’t need that much heat to have the same (or even better) adhesion to the print materials we are using.

Yet, You can’t buy a CryoGrip plate that has light changing patterns, like Carbon Fiber look and Triangle look. If you want that effect, you got to stick to the black plates, that are made for this effect.

So, they are not old and new, but two complete different types of plates, and the blue ones are the newest in their line up.

didnt i just say the blue ones were the new ones…

No.You didn’t just say that.

i dont know if you are trolling or just not all there in the head, you literally just quoted where I stated the blue ones are NEW and in the same breath you said i didnt FFS… guess ill just set you to ignore…

they are all like this. It’s paint, it will peel off eventually. The only solution is for those lines not to be painted in there. IMO it would be much better if they just didn’t paint at all

blue ones dont have the lines as i stated above, i do find it odd they did that to the other black plates though . Bambu has their logo on middle of their gold plates but it must be a different process they use as it doesnt transfer to my prints

I am sure I don’t mean it as bad as you might think.
Maybe it’s because English is not my main language, and I just don’t understand what it is you are saying. For me it just feels as if you are the one trolling, but I am quite sure now that this is not the thing.

Sorry if I gave you a feeling that was not comfortable. That was not my meaning. I just wanted to talk about the plates I have trouble with, and I don’t really care if that are old or new plates, pro or not pro. They are just not good, while they are not cheap either.

The cryogrip lettering comes off on prints as well. Not as bad as having the lines across the whole plate but irritating none the less.
