"You are temporarily blocked from redeeming points"

I got banned today for the same reason. Just had 559 points and wanted the €40 coupon and bam. Received a notice to wait 7 days and the next day (today) I got banned for a month.

Same here. Yesterday I clicket on " Bambu Filament Swatches - GET", message popup with “we have to check blabla” … today I’m banned. What kind of system is it?

Umm, same?

In my case it was “because the system detected frequent ratings within a short period of time, and the comments provided had no description.”

So, I “quick rated” about 5 prints with no comment, that was the reason for me.

I downloaded 10 of my models to be able to slice them in Bambu Studio and upload print profiles to them. Only 5 of the downloads counted due to the dumb new rule, but apparantly I still got points banned for a month. :expressionless:

Yep, in my opinion the system is a bit sensitive. 10 Downloads?! It must be SPAM!

Support said, they are working on “false positive detection”.

What I find strange, that most of us here, have been banned after redeem their points.

They did fix it. I asked for a manual review like Uhl suggested, and they said they “reinstates” my point redemption status :expressionless: Why didn’t they do a manual check in the first place tho?

If you were in the U.K. you would have a legal right to require a manual review.

I believe the same is true for the whole of the E.U.

It is part of the GDPR. Any system that processes decisions by a computer must, by law, allow the subject (you) the ability to have a human review the process.

Huh, makes me want a GDPR-esque thing here in the US

I just tried to get something from point store yesterday, and quess what, again banned today.

Same here. I’m now waiting for the end of the 30 day redeem ban. Looking at my points, I think I’ll redeem 2x €40 coupons…

It seems that they are attempting to stop cheaters with some sort of automated system that ends up affecting real people that spend REAL time making these models to share with other people. I hope @MakerWorld is aware of this impact and that they are working of fixing these false positives.

I had 500 points, and got banned for a week, after I attempted to redeem the points. I’ve never used points before, so this is very sad for me. I think the problem is in the fact that 2 of my models were boosted by an account that was new and hadn’t had the profile completed yet. I wish there was a way to only accept boosts from established users. Punishing the new guys is a good way to kill the growth of a community .

I regularly receive boosts from new, incomplete accounts. I highly doubt this is related to your ban. The question is, what explanation did BL give you for the removal of those models?

Same here.

What did they tell you when they removed the models?

Here are the comments the left on the models that were removed.

MakerWorld Comment

"We’ve identified points violations with this model, leading to its removal. Model Points Violation Types:

  1. Fake downloads: - False downloads: Intentionally conducting a large number of false downloads using fake accounts or colluding with others. - Automatic flash downloads: Using automated scripts or software to perform a large number of downloads without actual user interaction. - Purchase a download volume service: Buying services from third parties or illegal channels to artificially increase the number of downloads. - Exploiting incentive mechanisms: Providing false rewards or promises to incentivize users to download and gain a large number of false downloads. - Exploiting vulnerabilities or hacking attacks: Illegally increasing the download count by exploiting system vulnerabilities or conducting hacking attacks.
  2. Excessive self or mutual interaction: Engaging in frequent liking, downloading, boosting of one’s own or others’ models, or excessively rating within a short period of time."

I had 5 boosts on this model from 3 users. One of the users was a new account, so that’s why I was thinking that was the cause. The model only had like 3 downloads/prints. It was wasn’t a hugely popular model. The other model that was banned was given the same comments. It had 3 boosts from the same 3 people. That model had even fewer downloads. I also boosted the models of the users that boosted mine, because it seemed polite. Now I’m thinking the Bambu Ai saw that as suspicious maybe? IDK. It doesn’t make sense to me. I appealed it. hopefully it’s reversed. I’m trying to follow the rules, so it’s a little discouraging. I’m new to the 3D printing game and this experience is leaving a bitter taste.

Do a manual review, the worst they can say is no.

They don’t say no, they just reply with automatic messages. Your only option is to wait.

I asked for a manual review and they did it and approved me

I’m happy for you but my experience was the opposite. Hopefully the 30 day ban is almost over and I’ll try again
