"You are temporarily blocked from redeeming points"

… and after one week I got an (automatic) answer :

Due to the reviewing system is under updating, I’m currently not able to check the reason for your suspension.

I will let you know once the system is completed upgrading.

Banned by a bot, ticket answers by a bot and the final solution will probably also come from a bot.

AI :scream:

I got unbanned again!

I did a lot of schizo analyzing and maybe this might be interesting to you guys:

If those assumption is correct, and the support does not have time to look over this, i will most likely be banned once more though, since I received like 10x as many prints an downloads during this ban. I’ll see you guys in this prison in a couple of days!

Rip my system log:

Currently redeeming the ■■■■ out of those gift cards, wanted to store them for something more useful but hell no, I might never get the chance again. How do I increase the weekly redemption limits?

Yeah this was something I experienced when I republished a model or print profile in the first days. After only having it happen once because I received points for all the downloads once. But the next time I republished something else days later I did not receive any points. Perhaps they only fixed the points reward system and not the internal systems.

Why does a normal user start printing one of your models several times a minute?
Do you have multiple users, multiple printers and are so crazy about your models? Real?

Is there something wrong with the system? Maybe it’s the way they scattered and connected their models.

Users want to print a model, then realize they got the wrong model, stop and try again, twice, three, four times a minute?
Maybe something like that.

Then it would be understandable that they keep blocking the account because they can’t find out anything about a suspected or actual error. There is no point in constantly initiating downloads on an account because this will increase your points account.

If it’s something like that, or even if Bambulab finds something like that, then they should stop downloads from an account being started multiple times within a minute. For example, by only allowing one download every few minutes. And inform the person who triggers the download that this block is used to protect the system and the account. After all, it is also server load. Whether there is a bot behind it, Bambulab has competition, is also possible.

This is going to be really exciting here! My goodness! I’ll save myself “Hubert without Staller”.

They didn’t that’s the whole issue. The printed my models during the time they were private, after I got banned. After I got unbanned, when I then republished the models the internal analysis tools thorough all those downloads happened the first minute the model was published. Hence the support banning me for having multiple prints starting the same minute I published the model, even though I can easily prove that is not the case since the reward system counts the prints even if the model is private.

I wrote a whole bug report about the issue:

After I informed the support about my assumptions they unbanned me, so kind of proved my assumptions right I guess.

Did you get your points back?

Not for the model they claimed, they still refuse to tell me what part of Jorge’s intellectual property I’m infringing on, so that model is still down and cant edit it because they refuse to admit that he cant own the idea of storing PTFE tubes.

I’m still appealing that but I figured out a way to make a way more improved version that cant possible infringe on his model, but just to be safe its not a PTFE tube holder, its a multi-penis masturbator for micropenises with a specific OD of 4mm.

But you appealed not on copyright basis, but on the mass multi-download issue right? Was it the same model that had Jorge’s “copyright” that was allegedly botted?

There were 2 appeals at the same time, one on the I guess ongoing issue with my second permanent ban, then one appeal on the ridiculous copy right claim. I was unbanned from the ongoing ridiculous claim, as well as unspespended from the temporary ridiculous copy right claim, but all though I was unsuspended they still think I infringed on his intellectual property some how. I guess they though they were nice since the suspension would have lifted today anyways.

They never told me if any specific model was targeted by the bot accusations, they said “models” so I assume they talked about all my models and not one specific.

“We apologize for our previous error in judgment, we have republished the model.”

Got my model back! Although I just finished my changed and improved version anyways, its on the printer for testing right now.

I’m still waiting on my ticket response, glad to hear some of y’all are having success though.

Yea, feels like I’ve been bugging them for ages though. 2 permanent ban appeals, 2 temporary suspension appeals, 1 wrong copy right appeal, now someone stole my gift cards so have to appeal that. Why don’t they just give me a direct line so I can put them on speed dial. Or literally just completely white list me, I’ve been banned so many times, accused so many times, but every time I’m innocent. Just waste of my time. #Didn’tDoNothing #FreeAsdfgasdfg

How is it possible that someone stole your gift cards?

I wrote a post about it, at least how I suspect it happened. Feel free to share it, if that was how they did it then a lot of other people would most likely have had their gift cards stolen too.

2 days ago when MakerWorld was down, or a couple hours before it went down and probably the reason they took it down, I could see other peoples transaction history. I could not see my own page 1 of the transaction history, nor my redeem history. I assume someone else could see both my page of transaction history and redeem history. But I dunno, somehow they did it. Hopefully it will be an easy fix for the support, just check the code and whoever used them, match against my details and will be quite easy to see its not me, and maybe call the cops on that dude. Literally stealing…

I was freed from bambu jail today! Just took a few days of waiting and they got it sorted out at least.

What was the reason?

I don’t want to copy/paste the exact conversation but essentially they said:

“I looked, nothing seemed to break the rules, I’ve removed the suspension”

I didn’t get any sort of reasoning, just unsuspended.

I’ll take it! Good enough resolution for me, as long as it’s not too common.

Well, at least you guys are getting a response from support, I have been waiting on an answer for over 2 weeks now… This is frankly ridiculous and very much souring my experience with Makerworld. May just go back to Printables if this is how they treat their users

I have still not received a proper response on why I have been blocked from redeeming points. I have received vague messages that it’s related to my account gaining points quick. But no details.
I have received 2 placeholder messages from them that they need some time to review and that it would take approximately 7 days (it’s 2 weeks since I posted the appeal)

I am loosing faith in the management of this site as a creator as accounts are getting blocked left and right without proper reasoning.
I have contributed with loads of feedback for improvements and features, but really feel that the creators are not appreciated by their actions.

If this continues I must focus my energy on other sites…
