"You are temporarily blocked from redeeming points"

So you have been dealing with these copy right claims, do you have any suggestions? What is the next step when Bambu Labs claim someone owns the right to public property? Is there a way to appeal the decision and have some functional human look at the claim? Is the only way legally outside of the whole MakerWorld eco system?

I have not had any problems past appealing the copyright claims. They didnt decline my appeal, but still have not been reuploaded yet as they are pending.

All I know is I’ve heard makerworld was paying early 3d modellers to join. He already has a large amount of models on Printables. Jorge Rui was probably paid by Makerworld as I know he was here early. This may give him extra protection from Makerworld as they want to protect his models. Maybe you can try to send him a DM on printables to resolve it.

There is no resolution with that guy, I have talked with multiple people who been in contact with him and hes basically an old senile dude who think he owns the world. Don’t want to name names but there are a couple stories of he basically making exact copies of other peoples models then trying to copy right strike the people he literally copied the STL from.

The picture of his model at Printables looks a bit more like yours:

I didn’t find his model at MakerWorld.

Yea at least he figured out how to make a spiral lmao

This whole clown show is so dumb I cant even find an expired patent to prove how you cant claim ownership over storing a tube. Best I can find is this an electrical cooking appliance patenting a spiral heating element which expired 30 years ago. How could any one come up with such a dumb idea as to believe they own the rights to storing a tube?

Just because something is similar does not mean that they are infringing on anything.

The only thing they have in common is the purpose of storing a tube, which is not his intellectual property. Its all absurd.

Just change the wording on the model to “NOT for PTFE TUBES”.

Lmao  yea but still banned for a year. You’ll see it on printables or w/e platform will have me as soon as i verified it passes their local kangaroo court.

“Upon thorough investigation, we have observed multiple accounts starting to print your models within one minute multiple times.”

So I get banned either for someone else uses their bots to get me banned, or Bambu Labs can not imagine a model becoming popular, getting banned while 100’s of people still try to finish their project, then when getting unbanned these people want to continue printing the project.

Looking at my models right now, they are literally being printed as we speak:
2023/11/01 02:36 Regular Print Profile Reward Your Print Profile has achieved 550 downloads and has received an average rating of ≥ 4 stars. (Print Profile: 0.2mm layer, 3 walls, 15% infill, related model FOSBOS - Drawer 4u) + 4

Right now, while the model isn’t even published, within negative x minutes, people are still printing the model multiple times. That’s what happens when you upload a popular product that people download and print over days, are they suppose to just stop their printers and delete their local files because i got taken down? They have me banned, have all my points removed, because they cannot fathom the model becoming popular, after reaching the Bambu Labs subreddit front page twice in 2 weeks.

It starts to feel obvious they just try to prevent people from receiving points at this stage. Even if there are bots downloading my models, why would they ban me instead of the bots? Why would they let their own users suffer instead of getting rid of the root cause? They must surely understand that all these people trying to access the files are not fine having wasted kilograms of plastic while starting the project while it was still accessible?

This is all so ridiculous.

I just got the same message, when can I get in contact with an actual human?

Imagine if they had a real support. A phone number to call and get this sorted out in 10 minutes, instead of emailing back and forth once a day for 10 days…

And the fact that nobody cares the smallest amount, I’ve tried to reach out to them in every single possible way besides a pigeon posts. Just ignored by everyone everywhere.

Yeah, imagine this was 1955 when service actually meant something. :disappointed_relieved: It reminds me of the scene in Back to the future when Michael J Fox sees a car pull into a service station and a bunch of guys run out to service the car. Even in 1984 when that move was made, service was a dying fact.

Bottom line, Makerworld is clearly being run by a group that is vastly different than the printer division. You can see the marked difference between how they treat a product related issue versus this.

So my question to the folks here who continue to enable this behavior. Why do you continue to support them? Is it that you like banging your head against the wall because you enjoy that feeling when you stop? a pixellated image of a hand holding a button:stuck_out_tongue:

Lmao, those were the times.

Honestly no reason to keep jumping through their hoops, they are not even trying. I’ve been emailing some other platforms about my project, just want to validate it before I start doing all the work of uploading linking and all that. I cant imagine any other platform would behave this wildly.

Just got a new response to the copyright after I asked them when they will approve my model for re-release. Currently in the “Verifying” page.
Here is the response:

We appreciate your response.
Please be informed that our system is currently undergoing an upgrade.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience.

Hopefully it will be solved then! Seems like they are working hard today, 2 responses in a day that’s a record!

I got a new response too. I asked: “I would like to know the specific parts of my model that infringes on Jorge intellectual property, please be as specific as possible so I know which part of my model to I need to modify as to make it not infringe on Jorge’s intellectual property rights. Does Jorge own the intellectual property rights to the circular shape? Does Jorge own the intellectual property rights to the idea of storing a tube? Or both?”

To which they responded: “We kindly request you re-edit the model and submit it after your account has been restored to its normal status. Our colleagues will review it, and upon approval, it will be republished, and your points will be reinstated accordingly.” And some mumbo jumbo insisting on me breaking their community guidelines because my model became popular, felt like they were trying to get away from the real question a bit.

Was expecting a little more explanation…

Yeah two responses, one for each. Copyright and the other was botting accusations. The new one for copyright in 57 minutes :astonished:

Wondering that you get answers so “fast”.

I got no answer since 6 days – except the automatic notification that they normally need approximately 7 days.

The problem is your not coming to the forum to throw turds on the wall every time you get a nonsense reply. They only reply so fast to us so they can browse this thread on their lunch breaks and laugh.

Just for fun I tried to redeem some points again and it worked.
Although I didn’t get any notification that I’m unbanned.
