Apparently, BambuLab is rectifying the requirements for sending the discount voucher. Now, passing the certification is not necessary for that.
When sending the bed, they will email you the coupon and the tracking number.
Hi,
what is the source please ?
Yep, but still need to install a power supply connected to the wall, with a Voron for example. Not to mention some of those heat beds can reach up to 500W, then imagine the amperage, which is quite dangerous. I guess they chose 25V and up because 5V-24V transformers are pretty common for regular small appliances or LED and stuff, and usually safe.
Im begining to feel the same way.
Voron’s and other “kits” don’t fall under the same requirements as they don’t carry certification. The liability for those falls entirely on the individual.
As per your preference, we will be supplying you with a revised heatbed and a $120 discount code. We expect the revised heatbed to be dispatched to you by the end of March. Once shipped, the tracking number will be provided through this ticket. The discount code will be sent directly to you shortly after the heatbed is dispatched."
There is no memtion of pictures or some support tech releasing the agreed upon voucher.
also this bit, we are now in april.
also this bit
We expect....
We expect isn’t a guarantee, it’s a guesstimation.
[edit] Well shoot, igor beat me to it.
If I have understood correctly, a safety check must be carried out for the conversion with the new heating bed. Wouldn’t it make more sense to commission a company in the respective country to carry out the replacement and certification? In Germany, for example, a technician from the Expert Group would certainly be able to do this and Expert has branches all over Germany.
Yes, I had that thought too. Users who originally decided to exchange the heated bed should now have this option due to the unilaterally changed conditions by Bambulab, or alternatively be able to return the printer for a refund.
As far as I know, repairing larger devices is the usual measure in the event of a recall - at least in Germany.
I thought they will send me a fully new heatbed so I will only replace it and thats it. This is really complicated for me. I would like send them back the printer but they not replaying me on my ticket. What I should do? Is there any number for support so I can call them please?
not because of you - but it’s so good, it makes me laugh out of my chair!
I don’t have an A1 - but this you can forget in Switzerland at all. The hourly rate for a house electrician for the simplest house installations is 140 euros an hour, a junior technician (Green and moist behind the ears) possibly starts by 180 euros/hour. Just one person signing a certificate (printing it out and signing it without any work) costs at least 50 euros - if they would ever sign it - and then you would first have to find the person who would even touches Made in China. Whiche I would strongly doubt in a A1 case, since they already show that they had problems - and if there was a problem nobody will touch it anymore. If someone would even touch a very, very conscientious Chinese supplier since they have more than enough work on there workbench.
A resale of new goods by importers as long as it is covered by insurance, yes that is possible… Since we also have people who can only survive by selling and are of no use for anything else.
Sending the thing back to China and to repair this by there senior developers, top market strategists and sales managers would probably be much more cheaper
What is Zalando doing again with returns within the guaranteed return period? In tere case and as much as I know, even the repackaging would be too expensive… and 5 pairs of underwear by Zalando cost 100 euros as well… a swiss profed safety check of a 3D printer made in china
Maintenance costs are a pain in the butt. There was a time when flushing a clogged toilet in California cost $300 an hour with two weeks notice. The maintenance time of printers generally needs to be reduced dramatic because it doesn’t get any attention yet (not from any 3D printing manufacturer).
only contact is through support tickets
Replacement heat-bed showed up today. Now I just have to make time to install it.
Unless you purchase another printer there really is nothing at this. Point to use the voucher on. Filament for the most part is non existent.
Bed replaced and trammed. Ran a speed benchy and everything is looking good. Back to some hard core printing. Got catching up to do.
how did you get yours? through Bambu direct or a retailer?
very good! Was it difficult? Did you take the photos to redeem the voucher?
