Bamb Lab will launch a flagship in Q1, 2025

how high, do you reckon? just a ballpark figure.

What data? Do you work with suppliers or something? (I’m relatively new to the BL forums so Idk who’s who)

I would truly be disappointed if they went and teased everyone for as long as they did to release it with a high price point of $3000-$4000+. Personal opinion, with all the drama BL caused, and with the release of so many new printers, including the K2, there better be something crazy new inside of it to get the average consumer to even think about spending a months mortgage if not more on a 3d printer. I can’t see someone running out to buy a printer farm worth of HD2, at that price point.

It’s not meant for print farms, it’s meant for hobbyists who want a really cool printer. Kinda like the Prusa XL with 5 toolheads. It actually could be a decent print farm printer if you needed a huge amount of 2 color prints though.

Yeah. They said prosumer for a reason. Im pretty sure they even hinted that it wont be for everybody. Hope im wrong. Im sure, eventually, all the new toys will make it into the smaller printers too. Creality is seen as a super cheap company and look at what their flagship costs. Prusas prosumer printers are $5,000 and $10,000 ish

If Bambu releases a new printer over $3500 they might as well just make it $10k for all I’m concerned. Bambu was a hit because they made good inexpensive printers. I can’t even figure out why people buy the X1C instead of the P1S unless it’s for bragging rights.

If Bambu doesn’t release a cheap large format printer I’ll just be looking for another company to fill that niche and won’t even care what Bambu puts out. They need to know that, that if they abandon inexpensive printer offerings people will just move away from them and look to other brands.

At this point you’re just trolling.

Were they cheaper than the competition? I cant remember what the x1 sold for after the kickstarter pricing. I also havnt bought a bedslinger in a long time to be able to compare the a1 to something like an ender. I know the mini was the cheapest in its class though. It would be nuts if the top consumer brand was also the cheapest or even cheaper than some others.

Based on price comparisons right now between the companies, Id say Bambu is priced just above most others when comparing apples to apples. Not putting them down. Just explaining my reasoning. Im wrong all the time, so take my words with a bucket of salt

The average hobbyist I am sure does not have that kind of money laying around to spend. Maybe a Prosumer as StreetSports said. Would be nice to see where they are going to go with it.
I think the impatient factor is starting to take over, LOL. I just wanna know.

I feel the same way. At this point the market is changing and BL should be taking a look at the pricing to stay competitive, especially given the PR nightmare they induced. Alot of people are still upset and looking elsewhere, that cheaper pricing… Or maybe I just want the price cheaper LOL

I think it is pretty close if not the same as what it was right now, but included filament with the backer.

X1C was $1199
X1C combo was $1449

I forgot they had a $999 pledge for the X1…whatever happened to that?

Hmm, i am qute sure i am not a prosumer at 3D printing, but i want to get that printer.

I dont have a 3D printer and never had one. Does that count as prosumer?

I think that was for the normal X1, not the X1C.

Bambu is like cadillac. I cant afford a v series but the normal people versions are still awesome. Yes, im getting old.

I mean who could afford $2,500 for a 256mm printer? But they still made it and sold them

If you’re fine with spending 4k then by all means go for it. If you want to try out 3d printing without spending that much, I recommend getting a P1S or X1C. They have all of the features you need to print and honestly it’s probably not worth 3x the price to get the new one if it’s your first printer.

As long as its not like BMW. Nice to look at but three weeks later it becomes a money pit. BL does have its fair share of issue, but people often fail to remember when you pay the higher price for a BL its the quality that comes with it.

I would need $8K. $4K for the printer and another $4k for my funeral if my wife found out I spent $4k on a 3d printer.

Bro, the escalade loses half its value on the 1st mud puddle. Sorry, off topic.

Edit to be extra off topic.
@BambuBanker below, they started digitally tracking maintenence. Now they can tell if you didnt take care of them. Probably helped somewhat. Not saying they didnt fail even when maintained

I think that’s just older BMW’s, new ones are pretty reliable.

They may be, but I would not go out and buy one just based off of their track record. Its why I am still with BL, and not buying something like the K2 Plus. Ya sure the printer may be great but Creality track record…not so much, especially when it comes to service and support.

at least BMW got smart and did not keep the whole subscriptions for seat heaters in place. …
