Bamb Lab will launch a flagship in Q1, 2025

The problem is, i need more build volume, but i also want a printer “that just works”.

So bambu lab it is.

Better spend money once and have funn with a printer that does everything you plan doing with it, than to be frustrated if that printer bugs around. Than i would have thrown that money away, because i could not resell a printer that bugs around to enybody else.

I mean yes, but the P1S and X1C will also just work.

Just as a reminder “to help you make an informed decision about whether to wait”

Now notice the wording “above our x1 series” Series means multiple. theres only 2 x1’s at the time of this post. So, above the x1e also. And if its large and heated, most likely well above it

Your only hope is that they postponed because they are smart and wanted to make a stripped down version of the new flagship to release at the same time.Or im wrong

Exactly, BL track record has been great, other than a hiccup or two, and honestly, they are prolly playing it smart at the moment just being quiet rather than ramp everyone up more and dig a hole.
I had a P1P a while back and it unfortunately made its way out of my house and into the hands of someone it did not belong to during a move cross country. Looking into getting the P1S since I am always at my friends using his anyway. Just am remaining hopeful for this new HD2, that it will have a decent price point and be a golden egg…Maybe I am wishful thinking…Just do not want to buy a new one only to see it release in 2 weeks and regret it if I get sucked into the HD2… If it releases soon.

Yes i could try to split the models and hope the glue holds it together and it does not break there. I also would have to hope the seam is watherproof after gluing it together. I just dont want that.

If the new one has a 85" touch screen I am sold. I want to have to use both hands to hit print…LOL

Has to have a print bed of 21945 x 21945 x 21945.
First thing I am printing is a massive fidget cone.

@Spazzcat i am not sure if you know what you realy want.

You dont want to pay the needed money for a large printer that “just works”. But you also dont want to get the cheap printer creality K2, because it “has a track record” because it is so cheap.

So the only thing you can do is waite until bambu labs downsizes there new flagship, because they will do that for sure after some time.

But it also seems you dont want to waite until then.

It seems like you want to wash yourself, but also you dont want to get wet. At least it feels like that for me.

Also we all knew that the new printer will be above the X1 series in price and function. Why complaining now?

@Nexis I want the P1S, and that is most likely what I am going to go with. What I do not want, is to buy the P1S only to find out this new HD2, happens to be at a lower price point then every one thinks…$2k or such. I would indeed spend $2k on a BL larger printer that was solid.

The K2 plus is newer, and does not seem to have as many issues as past Creality, however their SUPPORT and SERVICE is the one with a bad track record. I am kind of just stuck in purgatory at the moment waiting to see if the HD2 is going to be announced in Q1. More than likely, I will still get the P1S, but want to make sure I am informed and not missing out…if that makes sense.

Not complaining, just said I would be disappointed to see it at such a higher price point of $3k-$4k. That market is for someone, but not the normal shmuck like me that just does it for fun.

Jep that makes sense! Now i understand.

We think we know the printer will at least cost 2500 bugs, because bambu labs told us that it is placed above the X1 series and is for prosumers.

But we dont know for sure. We can only say, it is about 90 to 95% sure we have to pay 2500 or more for the new printer.

There is still that 5 to 10% hope left it will be cheaper. And you dont want to risk it making the wrong decission.

Edit: how about, you just waite 3 more weeks?
It would not cost you money to just waite.

i agree that it’s not possible for the new flagship to be cheaper, i’m betting it will be between 2.5k and 3k - more likely around the 3k as that is prusa XL with 2 heads price

and yeah it should be interesting, they have had two years to develop the new flagship, while all other manufacturers have just being playing catch-up… what we see now from Prusa, Elegoo, Anycubic is the response to a 2 year old machine, that is still the best one among them, they don’t need to update the x1c, they need to bring us something more, and i think / hope they will deliver

But other competitors come up with new form factors like the Creality K2 or QIDI Plus 4
(even the did not manage to release an AMS). For some people including me the bigger format is attractive. And I do not see the QIDI Plus 4 worse than the P1S (that I have and can compare 1:1 with, just the AMS for the QIDI is missing).

Bigger format would be great…Not at a $3000+ price point tho…Everyone is broke. Things just keep getting more expensive

For the top model a higher price is ok, with some fancy features.
But if at least size comes later also to the cheaper series it is fine for me.

Honestly if Bambu doesn’t announce anything by the end of the week I might pull the trigger on a Prusa XL 2-Head.

  • It’ll probably be the same price at about $2500 USD
  • Still able to do PLA parts with PETG supports (or vice-versa)
  • Can upgrade to 5 heads later if I want to do 4 colors with PLA/PETG supports
  • Doesn’t do poops and Prime Towers so limits waste

Feeling pretty thrown around by Bambu. Supposedly launching Q1 meanwhile there’s only 2.5 weeks left to both announce and launch. And even then it will probably be very limited, possibly not even coming to Canada with all the stuff happening in NA.

Seeing as Bambu product comes directly from China to Canada I don’t know if “the stuff happening in NA” will have much of an influence on availability for us Canadians. It may even possibly be better as Bambu might stockpile units in hopes to wait out the “Red tape” of getting product into the States.

I guess on the 17th March we will know more…

China’s biggest 3D printing and additive manufacturing event returns to the NECC, Shanghai on 17-19th March 2025 .

With the Total Lack of Info and even a Teaser Date is Making it really hard to wait for the new Printer to be revealed. Im so close to purchasing something else for my buisness because the expansion cant wait much longer.

While Bambu hasn’t said anything outside of “Q1”, the printer has leaked along with materials, you can find out more in this thread:

Except that video is a year old, there’s been no confirmation for anything in months from Bambu. Everything else has been speculation by the community. Q1 end feels fast approaching, and there hasn’t even been a tease or actual leaks other than the one photo people are torn in speculation deciding if it was real or not.
