Hi I take it from Aliexpress. Seller told me Online not working. first I was used SD card but after that I connect Bambu printer LAN mode, it is working normally directly giving order from my PC. Online I tried but still unlucky. Now I think online I don’t use not so necessary. It prints like resin printer. I Iike this printer. But I don;t understand why producer not sell it free. It is money and income. It is may be they some politic, I don’t understand. Ok Happiness and Peace every one

I just contacted Bambu help services and said that there is nothing they can possibly do to move the region lock. Like why did they do this at first why did they make separate printers for china. Really disappointed. But the print quality from Bambu X1c is amazing I printed the scraper they gave and also they gave free parts for the scraper. Everything is impressive only one defect is the china region lock.

I think it’s because the products on Alibaba and Aliexpress are cheaper? Since the Chinese versions are 15% cheaper (such as A1C, only 3399 yuan in China, and for Global version it’s 4039), But I am not sure how much do you need for the shipping costs…

I think you can still purchase it via eBay or other platform, as long as it is not CN version.

I think that’s what you should complain about to your local reseller.
The only reason they sell CN version is because they are cheaper than the Global version, so they can make more profits… None of these issue would happen if the reseller provide you with Global version.

It is only in alibaba for my country i have search it all around, see friend at the end it is not my problem if they make a bad product, sorry but that turns it into bad product! Im just a buyer, people has not to do all those things, you just buy and enjoy, not you re pay with less characteristics … Got no sense! They must to rembolse the excedent that i have payed to me, something thats not gonna happen and let me use full characteristics like any other buyer! … I fell as a pretty Sh it buying with this company

You can’t blame Bambu for a 3rd party selling you a region locked printer intended only for the Chinese market.

When you buy out of the company you pay the doble of the amount, it is expensive than normal not cheaper, i have to pay shipping and other stuffs that normal buyers do not pay, and i loose any advantage like filament discounts, if i need waranties then i have to pay a shipping back, is way expenssive than normal :grinning:

I’m sorry guys. I’m switching to Team Creality Since Bambulab doesn’t give a fk. Creality have a authorized reseller in my country so, It’ll be the smarter choice for me at the moment.

If you don’t mind me asking where you bought it from, I am trying to buy a1 mini from the Bambu Lab website and deliver it to courior in Hong Kong. but I am worried that it might be locked.

Hi I buy all my printers via Hong Kong and have them delivered to South Africa via a Aramex, all of my printers are not locked or restricted in any way 1 x P1S - 1 x A1 Mini Combo - 1 x A1 and a separate purchase of a AMS lite.

This trick from Thailand FB Group

  • First, you need to login to Bambu Studio via the Bambu Cloud China system. You need to use a Chinese phone number to login because the login password requires an OTP sent as an SMS to a Chinese phone number only. Once you have logged in, you are done.

  • After logging in, you can immediately add a Chinese version printer and update the firmware.

  • To steal a session, it is not difficult: copy the Bambu Studio folder to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\BambuStudio (zip the entire folder).

  • Then, if you want to use another PC or send it to a customer or someone else, just send the zipped file to that customer. Then, the customer or user can extract the file to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming

  • When the customer opens the Bambu Studio program, they will be able to access the Chinese session immediately. Then, they can add the Chinese version printer. Normally, when you add it, it will give an error IOT_ERROR_REGION_LIMITED. But now we are in Chinese User Session, there will be no more problems. We can upgrade the firmware as usual.

  • We can go back to LAN Mode or go back to Cloud. The Chinese Session does not disappear at all, it is still stuck all the time.
    Just like this, everything can be done like a Global machine.

  • In this case, we can see that we really do not need to pry open any Bambu Studio program. For those who are good at prying, good at Hex Editor, just pry open the file C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\BambuStudio\BambuNetworkEngine.conf. If you can pry open this file, the Region Lock issue will be over.

  • The printer has an Access Code which is an 8-digit number that controls the printer connection anyway. Therefore, to connect the printer, we must enter the Access Code number.
