I would like that too. I’ve been looking for a good slicer on my iPad for a bambu printer.
Bambu Slicer/Studio on the newer M pro series iPads should be easy to implement in the year 2025, cmon BambuLabs this is sooo neeeded
even blender is coming for ipad… slicer should be no problem… been waiting for it since 2 years lol
Would also like to give a boost to this, i have an M4 iPad Pro that is significantly more powerful than the m1 macbook i use bambu studio on and would rather use the ipad.
+1 Bring Studio to the iPad please!! Big NEED!
I currently have an iPad Air (M3 I think) but would happily upgrade to a Pro if I could slice on it. Build it, release the minimum specs, and I bet you’d have a decent-sized audience.
+1 for a slicer. Bambu Handy is a good thing to print quickly, but I would love to do everything from the iPad …
Please please please give us bamboo Studio for iPad!
I support you all getting what you want, I only hope that when they do get Bambu Studio to work on the iPad they don’t break it for those of us still working on older “vintage” apple devices. I hate to see us start to have the problems that the Windows or Linux guys/gals are having.
It depends how vintage your iPad is. I had to stop using one of my older iPads because most of the apps I used on it no longer supported the ipadOS version it had and the new ipadOS updates weren’t compatible with my older iPad.
We kindly ask you to make Bambu Studio (for slicing on PC) available on iPad as well, please… There are users who own an iPad Pro, and Bambu Studio would work there WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. I think it’s about time you do something regarding iPad support…
After almost 3 years of this specific entries creation I kinda believe BBL are knowingly not making this feature for some reason
Adding my +1 for an Bambu Studio for iPad.
I’ve been trying to use MacOS Sidecar to extend my display to my iPad but the controls aren’t really 1:1. I find it difficult to navigate around a model for painting, multi-point-gestures don’t seem to do anything other than zoom in and out. Just feels clunky.
We kindly ask you to listen to the community. Please show some respect for us and give us at least some reason why Bambu Studio is not being developed for the iPad (at least for the newer versions…). It wouldn’t be that hard to adapt it for iPad, and we would have many advantages for example, using it with the Apple Pencil Pro and being able to work from anywhere. We would be extremely grateful if you could make it compatible. @BambuLab @SupportAssistant
Yeah a bit of a head scratcher at how Bambu has such advanced machines and can’t get a decent iPad app going
Many of us would love to see Bambu Studio on iPadOS, Android, or other platforms. I think the main reason it hasn’t happened isn’t lack of interest — it’s the architecture Bambu Studio inherited. Because it began as a fork of PrusaSlicer (which itself was built on top of Slic3r), the core slicing logic and the Qt desktop UI were never designed to be separate. That legacy makes it extremely difficult for Bambu — or anyone — to create mobile or alternative UIs without duplicating large parts of the code.
A more sustainable path forward would be to gradually separate the “core engine” (the actual slicing, model processing, and G-code generation) from the Qt interface. If that core became a clean, UI-independent ISO C++ library, Bambu could continue focusing on the desktop version while the community builds the mobile and alternative interfaces many users want — without forking or rewriting the slicer.
This approach also fits with the open-source licensing heritage. Because the code comes from PrusaSlicer under AGPL, Bambu can’t easily produce a closed-source mobile app without complications. But if the core is separated properly, the community can take on the heavy lifting of creating iPadOS, Android, or even web-based UIs, while Bambu benefits from a cleaner, more maintainable, and future-proof codebase.
This isn’t a request for Bambu to build more apps — it’s a request to consider an architectural shift that would unlock community contributions and give Bambu Studio a longer life across ALL future platforms. If we focus our requests on encouraging that core/UI separation, it becomes a win-win for both the maintainers and the wider community.
I’m not saying it’s easy, but it’s possible. Heck, Apple did exactly this with the migration to a macOS based on Unix!
Well, to be fair, Apple hires competent programmers.
Honestly, I’m really uncomfortable with the absolute silence around this topic.
I’m not even asking for a release date or a detailed roadmap, I’d be fine if you just said “no” or “not planned for now,” but complete silence feels disrespectful to your users.
Many of us use iPads, especially the Pro models, which have processors more powerful than many laptops, yet we still don’t have a properly adapted app.
It’s time to show some respect and attention to iPad users, you really need to step up your game here. @SupportAssistant @BambuLab
if they would make their own ios and android slicer with handy app integration they would totally kill competition…
im a hardcore pc user since i own my bambu i never printed from the app…
BUT i always wonder why so many ppl do it… i got the feeling 50% are only using the app… thats why they so popular because its just easy to use…
My guess is that they use the app because they’re just printing models they found on MakerWorld.
