Bambu Lab Studios for IPad

Not running macOS is the current biggest issue iPad is having, accept that I guess

The massive amount of work required to port the slicer to an currently unsupported OS is 100% not worth it financially. It’s Apple who is being a dick for letting down M1 M2 M3 M4 M5 iPad users, not developers

I respect your opinion, but I don’t share it.

Explain your assertion, and support it with evidence.

It’s impressive that the post was created in March 2023 and there’s only SILENCE. It’s disrespectful to the user. @JonRaymond @BambuLab @SupportAssistant

An iPad version of Bambu Studio would be super handy, and this request is definitely noted.

The team is aware of the interest, but right now it would require a good chunk of development resources that we just don’t have available.

The current number of users asking for a full iPad build is still on the lower side, and the whole interface would need a proper rethink to work well on a touchscreen.

It’s not off the table, just not something that is in the top of the priority list at the moment.

Thank you for your understanding.

Two points for people who see this in the future:

  1. @JonRaymond is a volunteer moderator here on the forum (as am I), we don’t really have any power over non-forum issues.

  2. I’m not saying posting Studio issues/feature requests here is a waste of time… but if you post them on the Github you are basically presenting them directly to the dev team.

Thanks for replying. All of that seems fine to me, but there was no reason for such silence for so long.

Thank you for finally addressing this thread. It’s good to know that this is at least on the radar.

Any news on that? It would be nice

I’m sure the IPad app will be released at the same time as the app for Android tablets.

There are Android tablets?

/s

I jest, they exist. But the Android tablet ecosystem is pretty sad. Aside from the Kindle Fire, which is just a way to buy more stuff from Amazon, Android tablets just haven’t really taken off.

Y’all have my vote i really need the Bambu studio on iPad I don’t have a pc in my house.

The only reason I keep my 2010 MacBook Pro is Bambulab Studio! CAD (Shapr3D) and MSLA slicing (Pikaslice) work fine on the iPad Pro. No workflow for FDM printing on the iPad so far…come on Bambulab. iPad App or web slicer. Prusa has it!

Hi, I agree, it would be great to have a native iPad app. In the meantime, is there a way to take a new model you create (say in a CAD program) and import it into Bambu Handy on the iPad? I have some creations from the past that I would like to print on my P2S. If not, is there a way on an Android tablet? Everyone is so phone & tablet centric that this is an awesome request/thread!

iPad slicer needed!+ please get this soon

I’m in the same boat this sucks

Seems ridiculous that BambuHandy is the only option for ios offered by BL. I work on a Windows laptop, a full Win PC, and my ipad and iphone for remote monitoring of my print job. I rarely use my ios devices to submit print jobs specifically because i don’t have control over the printer and slicer settings through BH. It’s a no-brainer for BL.

Thanks for your help, this has helped

As someone mentioned before, it could be a web based Bambu Studio compatible with iPad. This would be great and eliminate the need to have a PC

the seller told met to buy an Bambulab, because it´s like the apple of 3d printers.

It just doenst work with my Apple ipad PRO M5. I have to use an old windows computer for a slicer, really? it’s 2026!
