Problem: Bambu Studio freezes then works then freezes constantly after slicing an object and in the “Preview” tab.
Studio Version: 1.10.
Platform: MacBook Pro MacOS 15.1 Sequoia
Steps to reproduce:

Open BambuStudio
Open an STL/3MF
Slice said file
Once it automatically moves you to the Preview Tab pinwheel starts.

Pinwheel will come and go in a loop, and you are unable to close the program or do anything until you are back in the “Prepare” Tab.

Reverted back to 1.9.7.52 and everything works fine.

Problem: Auto Arrange feature breaks after mirroring a model; it claims the model has “zero size” and therefore can’t be placed, and it moves the model off the bed entirely
Studio Version: 1.10
Platform: Windows 8.1
Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Bambu Studio
  2. Import model
  3. Rotate model either 90 or 270 degrees on either the Y or Z axis
  4. Mirror the model on any axis (except the Z axis if that’s the one it’s been rotated on)
  5. Use the Auto Arrange function

Other Information: If the model is rotated on the Z axis, mirroring on the Z axis works fine. If the model is rotated on the X axis, everything works fine. Additionally, if the model is rotated to any angle other than 90 or 270 degrees exactly, everything works fine.

Personally, I’m guessing it’s something to do with gimbal lock and/or the fact that Bambu Studio mirrors on global axes rather than local ones now, but I don’t know what’s under the hood.

Same issue. Newest version is nearly unusable on macOS.

Latest studio on Mac (Intel) locks up after slicing certain models. Unusable.

For example try slicing this F-15,

Just updated Bambu Lab to 1.10.0.89, but now a print that would normally take ~8hrs is taking 2-3 hrs longer after slicing.
Why are print times so much longer with latest update?

V 1.10.1.50 Text Bug

I’m having trouble with the text feature, as it appears to not be working the same as how I’ve seen it in example videos.

When I go to check either the Horizontal and surface check boxes, it keeps unchecking the other (see images).

I would like the text to be on the surface AND oriented horizontal as is shown in this video at 5:49.

Any help would be appreciated if there is a known fix for this bug.

I have noticed that the text function makes my text backwards if I edit it. I can rotate the text to face the correct direction, but right now it is a PITA.

Problem: Floating support internal to a model
Studio Version: 1.10.0.89
Platform: Win 11
Description:

I don’t know if this is actually a bug. It seems like it’s perhaps a profile change issue, but it tripped me up for a while until I figured out how to make it work… Just thought I would share in case it helps others. I did search to see if it was already addressed, but the only similar issue seemed to be slightly different.

I have a model that has an internal chamber that needs support. I painted on the critical areas and used manual tree support. I’m fairly sure everything else was standard with regard to support. I believe I printed the model five times and everything came out as expected…
I upgraded to Studio version 1.10.0.89
Then when I printed the same model the next time I noticed an issue. The support trees turned into wall spaghetti. Thinking it was the material I began troubleshooting that. After going through all the usual suspects, I started looking at the gcode. I discovered that there was no longer a bottom layer on the support. After changing each of the support setting I was able to get the bottom layer back by adjusting the Top Z distance to 0mm under the support tab - advanced section. I have not actually printed to verify the fix yet, but that is next. I wanted to post first so that it didn’t get flushed. If it doesn’t work Ill post again otherwise it did. Hope this helps!

I do have picture but unfortunately I don’t seem to be able to upload them, yet.

Problem : Bambu Studio exports wrong gCode
Studio Version : 1.10.1.50
Platform : Windows10
Steps to reproduce :

  1. Make a Project with 2 or more objects
  2. Set different Filament for each object
  3. Slice Plate
  4. Export gCode

If this gCode is given to a Bambu X1C without AMS, the printer refuses to print because no AMS is available. However, if the same project is sent to the printer directly, everything is printed using the external spool holder.
Therefore, the exported gCode is not the same as the gCode sent to the printer without AMS. It may be necessary to add an option for exporting gCode with and without AMS.
. .

Or fix the error that lets the printer attempt an AMS print without an AMS connected.

It is a multifilament project. There’s nothing to fix there. The gCode just needs to be modified beforehand so that pauses can be added for filament changes. That’s the reason why export functions exist.

Problem: Order of walls “Outer/inner” doesn’t work if two not connected outer walls but a connected inner wall
Studio Version: 1.10.1.50
Platform: Windows11
Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Bambu Studio
  2. Load a model with two independent wall on one layer (e.g. two not connected circles) but a connected inner wall.
  3. Set order of walls to “outer/inner”
  4. For the first wall printed the outer wall is now printed first and the inner wall second (as I would expect). but then the inner wall is continued for the other outer wall so that the secound outer wall is printed after the inner wall.

unfortunatley I am for some reason not allowed to share images here directly…
So try this: ibb**!!insert dot here!!**co/8BKCFyf

Please advise if you know how I can get around this problem, When I start Bambu Studio the message below pops up, I have selected both yes and know and BS will still not load. I have uninstalled and reinstalled BS and still the same message.

image

Installed an older version of BS and now it is working not sure why BS refused to open with the above message.

LAN connection issues with A1 and different BS versions.
My LAN:
ZTE internet router with WiFi to laptop, M2 MAC mini and Win11 PC on LAN.
A1 in garage, LAN only mode, Wifi to a D-Link WAG102 (Access Point).

BS ver 1.10.x cannot connect on either laptop or PC
BS ver 1.10.1 on M2 MAC connects fine.

BS 1.9.x on Laptop and PC connects!

AND, WinSCP always connects. and ping is, no packet loss.

And I agree, the constantly changing Access Code is a pain.
Could it be the MAC address, expressed as a number?

Add my problem here even though I posted 10 days ago in its own thread.

BS Studio has been dropping the connection to my X1Cs (used in LAN mode). It appears to be random. It would go from having connection to an error of failed connection, then it will ask for access code. After receiving the access code, the Studio will repeat the error message and then prompty crash.

Things that I have tried:

  1. reboot X1C
  2. turnnig printer WAN off and back on after a short period of time
  3. choose to forget the wifi and relog in on the printers.
  4. close BS Studio and reopen
  5. reboot my laptop
  6. unplug modem and plug back in
  7. turning off another device that also uses the 2.4 GHz band
  8. Replaced router and modem

None of the above works.

Then it can work again after I have given up and logged off the laptop to attend to other things, and log in some time later (can’t figure out a pattern yet), the printers will appear inside the BS Studio again and be workable. But then it can fail to connect again at random times.

The wifi connectin signal is strong on the X1Cs. The wifi signal is weak on BS Studio. My guess is that the problem is on the Studio.

Both the firmware and software are up to date:
X1C firmware version: 01.08.02.00
BS Studio version: 1.10.1.50

macOS Sequoia 15.1.1 on MacBook Pro

Open In Bambu Studio - Not working - What do I pick/how to fix?

Hi everyone I am new to my A1 after years of using an Ender 3.

I have an issue with every single model I open on Makerworld where it opens to the wrong printer (one I dont even own) and then messes up/loses its settings.

Here is my example, I click A1 then click “Open in bambu Studio”

But when it opens - it always picks P1S:

So then I change it to my only printer… the A1

But when I pick the A1 it gives me this menu about changed settings and I have no idea what to pick… I normally just Discard Modified Value becuase I don’t want to overwrite anything - but I think that just defaults all my settings and changes it from printing as the designer intended.

How on earth do I fix this???
