maybe a silly question but we’re still getting used to our P1S & figuring stuff out etc. alot of the advertising / marketing stuff we read about Bambu made a big deal of the rfid tags & how the filament type & colour would be automatically read by the printer.
we don’t have the AMS tho, we don’t expect to do so much printing or multicolour stuff that we could justify the expense. but we don’t see anything on the P1S that’s actually reading the tags, so maybe it just doesn’t?
Yes, it doesn’t. None of their printers can.
Only the AMS has the ability to save the few seconds selecting the filament (in your case) through BBH.
The X1C has the touchscreen, wich makes any input more user friendly or even in the case for the combo P-Series and AMS at least possible without the mobile app.
Addidionally the NFC tags are locked and only obtainable along BBL rolls from their store.
So nothing to go for, unless you need the printers to be foolproof / running 24/7.
