"failed to get AMS mapping table"

I’m getting the dreaded “failed to get AMS mapping table”. I’ve read the threads and have tried different SD cards. I have 4 printers and it is happening on all of them. I’ve tried down level firmware and most recent firmware. I’ve sliced it using the most recent version of Bambu Studio and the previous release.
I have recreated the STL. I am still getting the message and am unable to print this object.
I’ve rebooted the printers and done a factory reset and all with the same result “failed to get AMS mapping table”
Anything else I can try?

Well, I got it to print by removing one of the filaments in the project. and re-adding it. So weird and I think there is a bug in Bambu Studio but I wouldn’t want to be the person to have to find it.

I’m all of a sudden getting this accross 5 P1S’s , 1 P1P (with no AMS) and my X1 (which also currently doesnt have an AMS attached)

Updating firmware/slicer has caused absolute havoc for me. Now trying to get back to versions that work with mixed results.

Obviously software related for all my printers to get all wonky

Let me know if you figure it out – updated firmware and now I can do nothing.

I don’t think there is a solid fix for this. Some people have reformatted their SD cards. Other people have swapped SD Cards. Mine started working after I removed a filament from the project and added it back. Have you tried opening a ticket with Bambu?

removing all filament and reinserting them helped me

Updated firmware on my 5 P1S’ - now get this error across all of them, can’t print anything with the AMS attached. This has to be a bug in the firmware. I have project deadlines I now can’t meet. TBH that is kinda on me for updating all my printers at once, but its still really not good enough - where’s the QA and testing Bambu?!

I downgraded all of them, and back to working … I also downgraded Studio as the “Flushing Volumes” wasnt working on my mac either for the latest version.

Pretty poor software testing at play here Bambu … Never have I seen a software & firmware update break so many people/things.

Same boat here. 3 out of 5 are throwing this message at random. Had one stop mid print on a very long print. Definitely a bigger issue!

I am also having this issue since updating to the latest firmware.

While annoying I’ve found if you first preload the filament it would have used in bambu handy app it will print. I guess this could be a work around until it’s fixed.

As I typed that I was thinking it may still not fix multi material printing

I downgraded the AMS firmware from the phone app and that has fixed this error for me. Unsure if it’s a bug in the latest firmware or just needed to clear some cache that it did when downgrading.
Will put off updating until I hear more.

I could only solve the problem by switching to the previous firmware in the mobile app.
Anything else didn’t work. (Format SD card, printer to factory settings, several AMS new synchronizations, Bambu Studio reinstalled, Orca Slicer, …)

I updated my P1S yesterday and now I’m having the same issues.

I started getting this after updating over the weekend. Rolled back to previous firmware using Bambu Handy and it’s gone away with no other changes.

hate them, really need a functional part, and ams not attached keeps giving me this nonsense error with external spool

This morning I could print without problems, now, several hours later I get the hated error message as well. Nothing changed between then and now in my P1S’ and AMS’

I’m finding this error a lot since my last update on P1S on the weekend and never happened before. For me it appears there is a breaking change that confuses orcaslicer. If I close orca and restart a print with bambustudio (mac version) the error is gone.
