What should be the k for the Filament then in your opinion ?
well, I did everything the support told me to do⦠such as validating / tightening / re-seating screws, heaters and nozzles, swapping out all items mentioned⦠might be the extruder / toolhead. however, support didnāt suggest anything towards that direction. I followed all recommendations such as the plenty wiki articles and all steps involved, uploaded almost 1tb of data and still⦠I would not run the calibration again since I had these ugly resultsā¦
Hello,
I am new to the Forum. I am running a Service Providing Print Farm. My FDM experience is around 12 years now and I was an employee of Stratasys for several years. So I would say I am experienced FDM user.
Running in addition SLS, SLA and MJF Printers on factory level and 2 High Temp Printers for PEEK and ULTEM.
I am currently owner of around 15 BambuLab Printers. Several A1 Mini, X1C, P1S and a new H2D.
I am printing with the H2D since appx. 1 month now and printed several third party materials and also BambuLab Materials. PLA, PETG, ASA, PPA CF, PPS CF, PA6, HIPS, PCTG etc.
I have my standard Material in the right nozzle and using the left only for support generation.
No multicolor printing for me on this printer.
Example: I print BambuLab ASA with BambuLab Profiles. At a random point of Layers 20+ I get stringing, ghosting and some kind of layershift + bubbles. Bottom part of the print is fine and look good.
I first thought it is a thermal problem but everything I tried is not working out at all.
Similar problem. I recalibrated all and started new prints to see if the problem is gone.
I don“t think that there is a Z-Axis problem.
All the Materials i use, I also use on my P1S and X1C and they work perfectly.
Printing with a support material like HIPS is even not possible and ends in a desaster as once the nozzle changes I get small holes in the outside walls of the printing material. I tried also PETG with PLA supp, vice versa and the official support Material from Bambu. Quality not satisfying.
Even with the matte PLA from Extrudr PLA NX2 the print quality compared to my X1C and P1S printers is not really satisfying.
I am actually a huge Bambu Fanboy and got rid of 10 Prusa Printers, considered to add 3-5 more H2D“s by this year to my fleet but with the current print quality there is a big question mark.
Would be glad if somebody could help me out, probably you faced a similar problem.
Thanks
Normal values for pla and a 0.4mm nozzle are between 0.015-0.025 depending on speed.
I have definitely seen this happening to others I wonder if they will do a ārecallā on the extruder gears sometime so a somewhat lifetime warranty
Are you sure? I checked my Values in Bambu Studio and I also have 0.033 for Bambu Basic PLA.
I guess it varies from differen filament colors. My purple is 0.026 (measured by auto calibration) and most of my other bambu pla is 0.033. All dried.
Today morning i received the same Email - after i varified that this isnt the case, i got an answer like this:
Hello,
May I ask if you confirm that the metal gear and plastic gear are properly attached together? I recommend referring to the wiki to check.
If the metal gear is wobbling or loose, this could be due to the extruder gear. If not, I will again reach out to the R&D department and ask for further instructions.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
I answered that i am sure - now we will seeā¦
dont think so - my dried PLA is going 0.030 and a bit more
is this video in english or could you maybe explain it ?
He suggests to perform a factory reset and then a full calibration afterwards (with the high temperature bed leveling enabled).
no offense, didnāt improve anything on my end but might be good for others to try
I tried the factory reset and calibrations. The whole shebang. No improvements. Support is now going to send me a new printer. Fingers crossed I am blessed and I too can have nice prints out of the box. Thanks for everyone who provided suggestions and guidance here.
I think a lot of my symptoms might be explained by backlash in the extruder somewhere: extreme stringing, bad small hole dimensional accuracy and generally bad print quality. Too bad I already requested refund. Iāve spent enough time debugging a brand new 3000$ printer.
