Currently, when trying to report an invalid rating or off-topic comment there’s not really a good choice for that. Just take a look at currently available list:
First item is unnecessary - there’s already “harassment or bullying”.
Last item - “misinformation” is a newspeak that in no way applies to comment/rating.
Instead of that newspeak, I propose a clear reasons:
- Invalid rating – when user rates 1-star and doesn’t specify the reason, one such example could be seen here: The woes or printer profile ratings - #146 by Johnny_Bit or The woes or printer profile ratings - #162 by Raroun
- Rating and Content mismatch – this is frequent when user has star-rating limited, does reprint, but cannot rate correctly or user doesn’t know how to correct the rating, eg: The woes or printer profile ratings - #172 by ElektroQuark
- Off-topic or Trolling – when comment is not on topic or the user deliberately trolls. Some designers are experiencing that and trolling/off-topic comments do not fall into any current category. Example: Prevent troll comments
This should cover the uses I’ve seen and should allow for moderating team better context to handle reports more effectively.
