rating the usefulness is easy. It seems like rating a print profile that wasn’t configured for my specific printer or filament doesn’t appear to make sense.

I think that rating the print profile is Bambu’s way of suggesting to make print profiles “working” and for “rating” model there’s likes (with no value to them except maybe algorithmic) and boosts (with a lot of value to them).

The print profiles are especially handy for bambu handy (pun) since there’s no way in the handy to configure slicing params. So users are left at the mercy of print profile creator.

Also, designers have no control over my environment, maintenance or my stupidity.

That’s why I made couple suggestions to improve profile rating flow to account for that: Require user to troubleshoot before rating

I don’t rate everything that I print, when I do, I try to include an image.

I do recommend rating, especially when everything went well, that helps creators (especially those with very little or no ratings on their profiles)

I have a question about printing models, does the creator benefit from me printing the same object multiple times,

AFAIK no, only the first counts.

AFAIK no, only the first counts (unless single object has multiple print profiles for eg addons, in which case rating each print profile for separate item does count)
