I’m Jan from Faigle3D. We are a 3D printing company with an online store (3dstore.ch) in Switzerland. We would love to add your product to our range if possible. I have not found any other way to contact you than this. If you are open to cooperation, I would be happy to hear from you. You can find our direct contact details in our online shop.
Would you be able to share the .STEP file for obj_2_Ejector-rump-rail_v02.stl_2 on makerworld? Looking to modify a few things on it despite it being a great design would save me a step or two.
Most likely it won’t change anything about Swapmod. I believe everything will continue working as before, as I haven’t seen any information that would speak against it. My app doesn’t use any connection to printer or slicer. Only if BambuLab decides to sign the gcode.3mf files could this potentially become an issue. But as I said, I haven’t seen any indication of this intention so far.
Hi Artillery1,
is uploaded. Check on makerworld. Feel free to join swapmod discord to share your mod. You can find invitation link at the bottom of your swapmod guidance page (scan qr code).
Thank you! Have been meaning to jump on the discord thanks for reminding me.
On a separate note I know you are quite busy as it is fufilling the orders but wondering if you imagine putting more time towards your GCODE mixer app or if the focus will now be on swaplist. Swaplist works great and I think the only slight thing im missing from this is the ability to add custom ejection gcode. Would be great to utilize this for some one off projects on the X1C that can be knocked off with the printhead.
I understand. I’m sorry for maybe disappoint you, but for now I will not opensource swaplist. GCODE mixer is already a well working tool with a high level of customization freedom. The only advantage of swaplist is it’s comfort of use with 3mf files and for now I would prefer to keep it as an USP of swapmod. Hope on your understanding.
i made swapmod A1M - plate hook with numbers on it to keep the system organized. The model ‘under’ has the number beneath the base, making it faster to print, but I recommend printing the ‘side’ version, as it is much larger, and is in front on the plate
Been following thread for a while. Congrats to Dill !
I personally don’t have a use for this item, and as the OP keeps saying it’s a niche product. That being said, I find it hard to believe that some posters can’t figure out how this is a game changing device for some people. I feel like they are just trolling. Just stop please. For context if you had 4 x a1m (900ish) 20 plates (800ish) racking/wiring (400ish) with 4 swapmods(?) , you’re absolutely smoking the $80,000 Mosaic machine… in low temp, open air printing, small model…like obliterating it… while in your basement lol
I’ve been machining for almost 20 years, and I like to read thru the forums during my 9-5 during longer runs. My co-worker and I have been absolutely dying laughing reading the posts(nov24) where people are trying to make charts, do algebra to figure out how many parts you can get with the swapmod compared to (x)… so funny, thank you
Again, congrats Dill! Ignore the few trolls, I’m excited to see what your next project it.
