Multiple accounts on printer

I saw some comments around being unable to print with mixed filaments types. My question was around getting more context around it given I had just unpacked the X1C.

Materials with similar printing temperatures can be printed at the same time. Issues arise trying to print say PLA and ABS at the same time because PLA will soften and clog in the chamber because of the temperature that ABS needs to print at.

How do we do this if we want to have a printer farm? Multiple users login and print at any Printer is a MUST!

Ist another way of implementing the multi-user / sharing concept.

+1 for multi user support!

That’s why I landed here. I got our printer and I’m having to let him use my account to print on the printer, rather than just allowing us to share and use his own account.

+1 this wpuld be very nice

This is a big issue in the education sector we have two, and would be looking at probably another six in the near future for two other areas but not being able to have multiple accounts and password settings is a real worry for us.

I am trying to work through this with our IT team but this could be a reason why I can’t support the purchase of more printers, the printer makes it simple for our teachers but this makes it hard to support.

Everything else is awesome.

+1 for this as well. I can’t believe this was requested in Jan 2023 and still isn’t a feature in July 2024. We just bought an A1 and A1 Mini. We had no idea that you couldn’t use them with multiple accounts. Yes, we can use LAN only mode, but then you lose the ability to send prints to the printer remotely which is a huge feature loss.

bambu is missing so many opportunities because of this…
I work at an educational institute, was going to switch our printers over to bambu, due to the easier learning curve.
bought a few printers to test, but found that there’s no easy way for students to use the printer…
using the mSD card is a hassle
1K+ students using one account is definately not feasable
manual binding of printer to each student laptop is pure stupid

With our klipper machines, USB and IP address makes things so much easier

+1 for multi user support, would be awesome to share my printer with rest of the family, so they could print from their phones directly.

+1 for multi user or other way of printer sharing.

I wanted to share my printer with Kids. Bummer.
It’s a no go to share my account’s password with them.

This is a shame we can’t share printers :disappointed:

prusa connect has a team function which allows multiple users on one printer

Bummer that this isn’t a feature on bambulab, especially for professional use but even for home use it’s quite common to have multiple people around

+1 Like 2D printers, the 3D printer is a household item. It should be able to be shared by the household.

+1 please this is a need for us !

+1 - i was very surprised about this. I cant use it this way, as I’m not sharing any personalized login derails. Sad…

+1 Same here. My son and I both share two X1Cs. We each run our own shops and print completely different items. However, we must share one account. Would be amazing to be able to allow sharing a printer on different Bambu accounts.

+1 … so many asking for this feature. Has @BambuLab shared some updates yet?
