I can’t say in my now near 600 hours and various complexities of prints that I’ve had this issue, past the personal skill issues that I had with the aux extruder gear clog (documented in my post) the machine has been confidently going BRRR and spitting out parts.
Have you tried talking to support about it? I’d be curious to get nerd-sniped by this and help you troubleshoot it if you’re down…
I’ve also read your post about it and it really sucks that you’re experiencing the issues you are. I’m not by any means trying to say that you’re not having problems with it, but it seems that it’s either a process/expectation mismatch or you’ve unfortunately got a lemon of a machine, which does seem to be something that’s started happening more and more with Bambu.
The additional “gear”, I’m with you on, the track switch, etc are all, in my opinion, garbage and rushed products to try bandaid drawbacks, or address potential customer expectations that the machine isn’t necessarily designed for from the ground up.
Overall, 400 hours since I initially wrote my review/opinion piece and after having conversations in this thread and seeing more potential issues that other users had, I think I will stick with my original conclusion, which was TL;DR:
Do NOT get this machine if you’re a beginner or expect the typical clean bambu experience out of the box. Be it hardware integration, firmware or Bambu studio, this is not the typical “appliance” machine.
