I purchased a P1S combo on 2024-02-14 and then immediately decided I’d rather have an X1C. I tried to cancel the order, but that functionality doesn’t work. So I opened a support ticket, but BambuLab was on holiday and didn’t respond. When they finally did respond the P1S had already arrived. I left it completely unboxed and untouched. On 2024-02-27 support approved my return and refund. I immediately shipped it back and it arrived on 2024-03-06. Support then tried to close my ticket without issuing a refund. I keep posting in the support ticket so that doesn’t happen, but it’s been over a week since the P1S was returned to BambuLab and I have no refund. This is absurd. Where’s my damned $1000?
They will issue the money refund, but it takes up to 2 weeks to proceed I think
Presumably, you had the good sense to pay via credit card. With that assumption, contact your credit card company now , not in two days, now . The biggest mistake most consumers make is to complain after the period of contestability is over. By acting immediately and showing that there was a proactive response on your part, and that the merchant failed to respond in a timely manner, you will give yourself the upper hand during any dispute. Even if you decide not to pursue it a month from now, you establish yourself as the aggrieved person from the start, not someone with simple buyer’s remorse.
Based on the fact that you have an authorized return with proof of delivery gives you a strong case. Your credit card company can advise you with respect to your rights. Most credit card companies will give a provisional credit so that you aren’t being charged interest during the dispute. The interest would be added back if the dispute was overturned but in your case, that would be unlikely since title of the property passed back to the merchant.
This happened to me two years ago and the idiots who short shipped me on a mere $200 shipment had the gall to try to dispute my complaint. However, by providing evidence that the weight of the UPS parcel was far under the advertised weight of their product, the credit car company stuck it back to them. I also got to keep the partial shipment.
Having said all that, read the fine print in Bambu’s terms of sale. There is likely a 30 day period of when funds reappear on your card. But getting in the complaint early will always help.
Good luck.
Most returns take time to process…even if you say never opened etc they need to check this.
I’ve initiated a chargeback on my credit card. It’s been over 14 business days and Bambulab won’t even respond to my support ticket. I don’t care how busy your company is from a major product F’up/recall with the A1, you could at least have the decency to respond with a refund ETA or even some basic acknowledgement that the refund is in progress. This is a highly unethical business practice and bordering on criminal.
Bambulab gave me a partial refund. I paid 984 for the P1S combo and attempted to cancel the order 10 minutes after placing it. The cancel button didn’t work at all and just said the order was already processed. In 10 min, give me a break. Is the defective cancel order button my fault? After realizing that their e-commerce site is totally borked, I immediately opened a support ticket on 2/20, but no one was around to answer it. No one responded until 2/28. The printer arrived on 2/27. I was then informed that my refund was approved and sent a return shipping label. The printer arrived back at bambulab on 3/6. Now, after 18 days I only receive a partial refund of 879. So I have to pay $105, because BambuLab’s cancel order button doesn’t work? Don’t have a cancel order button on your e-commerce site if it doesn’t F’n work! If Bambulab wants to charge a restocking, fine, but that needs to be communicated during the refund approval messaging. I would’ve just kept the P1S combo if I knew I was going to get F’d out of $105 bucks. What a total sh!tshow. Bambulab’s customer experience needs a lot of work. Great printers don’t make up for horrible business practices and craptastic customer service.
I"ve been waiting 21 days for them to get back to me. I want to return this piece of junk. Looks like I’m going to have to file a dispute with my CC company. My printer has never worked properly from day one and I can’t get a single response from the company.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
Well for starters, big kudos to you for standing up for yourself instead of just sitting back like a wimp and letting them have their way. Keep up the fight and use the merchant chargeback as your cudgel to get them to own up to their responsibilities. The fact that they issued a partial refund was a mistake on their part if they wanted to stonewall you. This is tantamount to an admission of guilt on their part. Keep pushing forward!
One strong suggestion, though: Print out or, better yet, screengrab their web page with their TOS and keep it handy. Why? Because lately, I’ve noticed that they have been sneaking in changes without notification. By capturing the TOS during your transaction period, you can prevent them from changing the rules midstream during your dispute. You can also use it against them, showing that they failed to meet the most basic principles of e-commerce. This, too, will work in your favor during your chargeback dispute.
Interesting. A lot of replies to this post were deleted. Would be fantastic if I could just post a new topic so i could focus on my issue instead of reading everyone else’ problems, only to be over-moderated.
I think this is good moderation. It prevents some to hijack a thread to serve their own agendas that have nothing to do with a thread, and contribute nothing positively to the community.
For what it’s worth, I eventually received a full refund and my credit voucher for the A1. After much thought and research, I decided to take a chance on the A1v2, because it was simply the best printer on the market for my business needs. I’ve been printing with the A1v2 for over a month now and it’s been flawless. While my initial interactions with Bamublab weren’t the best customer experience, everything has worked out and I have exactly what I need for my business. Bambulab does have quality printers.
Bambu lab does make good printers. Everything else they do, seems to be not so good.
They’re good until they’re not. And then you’re absolutely out of luck unfortunately.
Still haven’t heard SQUAT from them! Printer still doesn’t work properly.
Not for nothing but WTF???
You posted about this in March and it’s now November and you’re still doinking around? What happened to your chargeback dispute?
In all candor, the gap in time gives the appearance that you didn’t take action in a timely manner which isn’t a good look for you. It takes less than 30 days–90 at most if they try to counter-dispute–to get a chargeback to stick. So what happened? Why is this still an issue 7 months later? If you didn’t act within the first 90 days of the dispute, you may have lost your window.
I reached out 2 dozen times. TRUSTING that one of 2 things would happen:
- They’d finally reach out to me for a return authorization
- Somehow my machine would magically start working
I was pissed off to the point of it not being healthy so I walked away for quite some time around May. My mother in law was having major health issues, I had a son graduating HS and preparing to travel abroad for 3 weeks, my family and I had a vacation and several weddings to attend throughout the summer… and I’m finally getting back to this piece of ■■■■.
Sorry I didn’t constantly inform the forum about what is going on, but I did feel obligated to point out that Bambu doesn’t seem to care at all. I’m back to trying to make this piece of s h ! t work properly. My Creality printers all work well, but they’re SLOW. Regardless I’ve been able to rely on them for the past 4 years+ with zero serious issues.
How did you reach out to them?
I think the chance of a refund (or chargeback) is gone at this point, but if you tell us what it’s doing I’m sure we can at least point you in the right direction to get it working. Remember it’s still under warranty so you can also open a regular support request and they’ll send you the parts once they establish what’s wrong.
Me and my big mouth…
