I’m running the latest firmware on my P1P and version 1.8.4.51 of Studio. I’m in the middle of printing 6 objects together and 1 has failed. When I touch Skip in the Handy app, it says “Skipping objects is not available in: - 1 or 64+ objects in single plate - Bambu Studio slicer lower than V1.6.”
Neither of these conditions is true so why can’t I skip the failed object?
I have the same problem. I am not doing multicolour prints. I did see on the Bambu wiki it says skipping objects is not available unless file is transferred from bambu studio to machine via cloud. I had been transferring by sd card but tried sending from bambu studio over network which I assume is what they mean by cloud transfer. I still have the same error though.
Up until yesterday I was able to skip freely, now on all 3 of my P1 series printers I can’t skip anything. It does not matter what I’m printing or version of Orca I’m using. all are blocked!
According to Bambu Wiki (Skip Objects | Bambu Lab Wiki) you can still skip a multi color print but the Towers will still print if there is another color change further up.
I got that message after printing from the cache(printing from the past prints on machine). I then restarted the print from the slicer on the desktop software and was able to skip again. So i guess maybe its something having to do with that.
This went away for about 3 days and now its back. Its refusing to skip a failing print on a board with 3 objects. giving me the error mentioned above. Getting a little angry here. Is this because a .3mf loaded it as one singular object not 3 separate objects maybe?
Same problem here, but for X1C. I started to have this problem when I started using OrcaSlicer, one week ago. But as I can see here, it looks that it is happening also with the standard bambu studio software…
I was able to skip multicolor objects in the past without problems.
But now:
-Any 2 colors piece, where the lower half is one color, and the upper half is another color.
-To print mutiple instances of that piece, I clone it, and then slice, using Orca 2.0.0-beta.
-Then I send the order to print it into my X1C.
While printing, if I want to skip one of the instances (like when a spagetti happens in only one of the instances to be printed, but all the others are still ok), the screen selector does not allow me to skip the problematic instance, it instead propose me to skip all the bottom halfs of all the instances, or all the upper halfs of all the instances… absurd…
Wow, skipping upper vs lower is a new one I’ve never heard of before. That truly is weird. Let’s hope someone has the solution. Did you try opening a ticket with BBL? They can (sometimes) be helpful
