I clean the Textured PEI plate with IPA - but it is not an issue, what happens is that the flow stops early and starts late
I closely follow the updates - both for the printer and the slicer.
I did repeat the print with ColorFabb NGen with good result:
I would suggest that you calibrate your flow dynamics (pressure advance) for your filament. For the P1P it is a manual calibration.
I agree with @JonRaymond , calibrate that filament would be the best move. Dry it first, bagged is no guarantee and particularly if its been stored for a while. Seeing the print has worked with the grey filament makes it easier to focus on that filament and not a printer/software error.
I dried the filament for 8 hours at 65°C overnight in a Creality DryBox 2.0.
This morning I did the manual flow calibration:
I selected 0.025
That helped a lot.
I do not understand why the calibration would be different than last yearâs.
Thanks for the advice.
3 posts were split to a new topic: A1 stops printing but shows as complete
I have had the carbon x-1 for a couple of days. I got a bad clog with some filament and since that I am getting prints like this. I have no idea what could be causing it.
You answered yourself i think: a clog most probably.
Already tried to unclog the nozzle as recommended by the BL support pages?
I second @MotherOfInvention. It looks like a partial clog developed after a while.
That can either happen with heat creep or contamination of the nozzle. Dust, Dirt, etc. can originate from the extruder, abraded PTFE tubing or from the spool itself and can easily travel to nozzle.
Still a newbie to 3D printing - printed a lithophane frame - main item was ok, however on the top layers sides came out like this
Not technically a failed print - but any ideas on what caused the issue?
It is a bit tricky to say from a single image. I assume the issue is only on the side and the remainder is OK?
If that is the case, than it could be that it is one of the rare cases where slowing down would worsen the situation. A print is slowed down when the minimum layer time (filament settings, cooling, max fan speed threshold) is not reached so much that it achieves this value. If there is not much to print, the nozzle will inject more heat than will dissipate before it comes round again, leading to ever increasing local model temps. Those failures look a bit like your struts just before they connect again for longer paths.
If that is indeed the problem, then thereâs an easy solution.
- Print two on the same plate. That way, layer time is increased sufficiently.
- If for whatever reason that is not a suitable solution, add a tall primitive (zylinder is probably best) on the build plate, move it far away from the model, set its parameters individually (low wall count, no infill) to minimize material consumption.
Hello everyone I am new to 3D printing. Printed this vase. At the end I have errors in it. The rest looks good. Printed with P1S Bambu PLA Matt in standard settings 0,2mm. Model is from here. In the slicer it looks like itâs not the model. I have the same problem with PLA from other manufacturers. Thank you very much for your help
Iâm guessing it an artifact of the outer wall overhang angle, which from the look of the overall geometry of that object varies as the print progresses. It forces you to keep your guard up, as itâs actually not all that uncommon to run across this type of thing.
I was trying to print this item on P1S using the supplied 3MF file and Bambu Lab filament PLA Basic Red filament:
https://makerworld.com/en/models/153716#profileId-167962
The result was disappointing, see the below photos.
The whole top part (back end of the holder) has warped and detached from the supports. Then the print head started to touch and further damaged the model. This happened while I was away. I stopped it as soon as I noticed something was wrong. Any idea what could have caused this? Do you think this has caused any damage to the print head? This is the first issue I had since I got my printer a few weeks ago.
I also tried printing it standing up on a narrow side with some additional supports but I had issues with the quality of printing the lattice. I suspect it is too thin to be printed in this orientation. The back part (one with which I had an issue with the first print was printed well this time).
I am pretty new to the 3D printing world and not sure where to look for the answers. I posted the question on MakerWorld site but havenât heard from the designer.
Printing in the air, happened two times before and after last firmware update. Looks like extruder tried to push filament into the nozzle, but it would not go. See pic showing grinned filament. Not sure if this is related to sporadic temperature drop mid-print or filament diameter change. I was printing with Creality PETG which is decent quality. Last time failure occurred with well known PLA brand.
What a beautiful boat
But my first spaghetti
My fault lmao, wrong settings for PETG. What do you guys do with failed prints? It feels like alot of filament to just throw away
I donât have a good answer for this, myself! If anyone has good ideas for recycling it or using it, I hope they chime in.
Bambu Lab A1 mini, filament Spectrum PLA Premium.
Low height prints come out fine but higher end up like this one.
These are settings for filament - there was no predifined profile for Spectrum PLA Premium filament so I took Bambu PLA basic profile as template and changed temperatures a little according to information on Spectrum website. Am I missing enything here or what should I check? Thanks!
