Speculation about new printer announcements

I think you already know the answer…its the same reason they are $40 when AliExpress sell (probably) the same ones for $8 lol

I owned a microwave oven where the interlock failed and it could be opened with the microwave full-on. Then I found out it isn’t so rare, and there are even youtube videos on how to replace the microswitch on your microwave’s interlock. It’s that common. Who knew? So, if it could happen with a microwave oven…

Does the door need to be closed to engrave with the H2D?

Yes

I had an ex that was terrified of the microwaves getting out and doing us harm. Her solution though was to put a towel in front of the microwave. Apparently that stopped them from escaping.

The laser filter box? Yeah I was going to buy one just as a ABS filter.

Base model seems to have sold out now. I was getting concerned that it didn’t sell out earlier, I heard that in the US they had low thousands of the base unit and low hundreds of the laser combo. So I was kinda expecting it to sell out almost instantly.

H2D they call “Professional Manufacturing Hub”

What is really up for discussion now is the price of the X1C - you can’t deliver it at that price anymore, 1,800 for the new H2D toy is extremely overpriced and far from what I would ever pay for such a printer with a fare incomplit non Profesional toy laser. And still fare away from everthing to expect in 2 years of development.

Lol amazing, your always negative :smirk:

Huh? Where? Not that it really matters, but “they” are calling H2D a Personal Manufacturing Hub, at least from what I’ve seen.

You’re completely mistaken. I’m even considered a happy person.

Two years later and there’s still not even a hint of an X1C as a replacement. Apart from IDEX, there hasn’t been a single improvement, which has been discussed here for a very long time. Yes, that’s a sign… but I let it go now, get an SV08 and finish (or someone else who has caught up or overtaken)

Enough said, pointless - RIP and a new Printermanufactorer and silence…

Wow, the H2D Is pricey. Would it be possible to buy the H2D extruder and stick it on an A1? I figured the programming is going to be a nightmare and I need to make some adapters to make the belts work, but it should work in theory, right?

I guess pricey is a matter of personal opinion but generally it is cheaper than most people expected it to be.

It is not possible.

CNC Kitchen video review says it’s not possible.

Oh its possible, just not probable.

Let this post serve as my apology to @maximit. In December he posted the first leaked picture of the H2D, I pooh-poohed it and said it was AI. We know for sure now that it wasn’t and I was wrong, and for that I’m sorry. I always like to admit when I’m wrong… It’s only happened a couple of times in my life…

If this hasn’t been covered yet, the filtration is built in on laser equiped units, the addon laser uses an external vent system

Nice. Is the built in filtration as good as the $600 one?

@hank should have listened to warnings. It was never going to be cheap but atleast they made a stripped down variant. This is more than i was expecting them to do.

they even released a warning saying “to better inform you of whether to wait or not”

They’ve had since December at least and still have typos in their copy
