They keep a tight lid on things but only up until today, right? Or are they at form next but haven’t even revealed their booth yet?
If it goes above 2k, considering that competitors have launched printers with heated chamber and other options and add-ons at prices way below 2k, their new flagship would have to provide groundbreaking innovation and standard options that currently are sold as after-market add-ons at premium prices… Remains to be seen if anything comes true.
Nothing publicly leaked yet. Waiting to see what they unveil, if anything, like everyone else.
The booth is on the FormNext plan. Hall 12.1, as far away as possible from Stratasys .
Correct me if I am wrong but from what I have read it doesn’t sound like the new Prusa printer is open hardware, only software and firmware. The main difference between them and Bambu being open firmware as both Prusa Slicer and Bambu Studio are open source.
or, perhaps it’s the other way around… Stratasys trying to stay as far away as possible from Bambu…
Isn’t there a UN peacekeeping booth in the middle?
upgradability being the main difference between them, as I see it.
I have ordered in the past without issue. Recently though I ordered a chamber heater. It never arrived. I kept getting tracking messages that said “incorrect address.” I checked the address and it was correct. I contacted AliExpress and they would not refund me. Saying “you haven’t picked it up at your post office.” It was shipped using Cainiao, so I contacted them. The last-mile shipper was not the post office. Cainiao told me for two weeks that they’d deliver it in the next three days. Never got it. Again AliExpress would not refund. Then, Cainiao told me the package was damaged and could not be delivered. AliExpress told me to get a ‘stamped’ letter. So, I did. I got a letter from Cainiao, signed and on official stationary that the package was lost/damaged. I submitted it to AliExpress. They sent me an email saying there was no proof that it “wasn’t at my post office,” and therefore they were releasing the money from escrow and paying the seller. It was like an alternate-reality conversation the entire time. Never got the package, never got a refund.
Please don’t take this as an anti-Chinese rant. It isn’t. I do business with Chinese companies, and most of my interactions have been very smooth, with great people. AliExpress on the other hand is not always great at delivering on their many guarantees.
those guys aren’t into 3d printing… and even if they were, they are not concerned by “the squabble” between Bambu and Stratasys… They’ve got other “fish” to fry… but it would be quite a show to see them getting kicked from both sides. That would certainly
cover the entry ticket fee .
they seem to be live right now in Instagram

So Bambu are FormNext starting today, but people don’t know why they unveiled? I must not understand how FormNext works. Are they people who are their at the event today not allowed to share what Bambu is showing?
I’m not attending the event…for business related reasons.
And they are at the end of their tour of the booth. But everybody was screaming in the comments: “New printer??? Where???” so she addressed it in the end that they did not bring a new printer to FormNext
A link ?!?
edit:
Ah, don’t bother. Got your last post. NO NEW PRINTER to be unveiled. Glad I haven’t spent time and money to learn that they haven’t brought anything new.
Helpful link: bambulab instagram - Google Search
they are indeed there, they shared a photo on linkedin of their booth - AMS shaped, but they didn’t mention they would announce anything there - if they did / do , it will certainly leak all over the internet
why? both QiDi and now Prusa offer those at the price range (btw an ethernet port is dirt cheap lol)
there is no obligation to share new products, they are showcasing their entire line-up and brand
From what i can say, nothing new from bambu at formnext.
BL already said that proprietary and closed-source is their way to go. And judging by A1lineup and X1E (which I mind you looks similar, but is a completely different unit, to the point where side panels do not fit X1 and P1).
So… I wouldn’t keep hopes up about upgradability. Personally I pumped more money into my P1S to the point where I should’ve bought something else. P1 and X1 are great, but they have fundamental flaws.
I do not anticipate BL to release perfect “X2”, of course it WILL have some issues (same as Prusa), but with Prusa you will have an eventual way to upgrade and fix flaws. With BL - you are stuck with it forever.
Oh, and absolute garbage selection of components (cheapest of the cheap in order to cut costs).
Those 2 things that are worrying me so much in otherwise almost perfect machine.
where “almost” is the operational word, and “perfect” is the missing link between what it’s claimed to be offered and what it’s actually delivered.
