I am assuming you bought a P1S combo as that price difference matches what you wrote.
If you bought the P1S combo only, you do NOT get two discounts as the price difference is already accounted for in the combo.
P1S Combo (printer plus AMS) price difference refund is $160 AUD.
Any OTHER AMS units price difference refund is $70 AUD.
So, if you bought one:
One x P1S combo you get $160 AUD
One x P1S combo and one more AMS (2 total) you get $160 + $70 = $230 AUD
One x P1S combo and two more AMS (3 total) you get $160 + $140 = $300 AUD
One x P1S combo and three more AMS (4 total) you get $160 + $210 = $370 AUD
If you have already applied for your P1S combo and been granted the price difference (even if the gift card hasnāt been emailed yet) you should contact BL using LiveChat or a ticket to request the additional price differences.
Make sure to include the original order number and the fact you have already been granted the price difference of the P1S combo, it is the additional AMS unit(s) price differences you are seeking, also mention the form will not do this for you.
I finally quit waiting, as my customer base demanded one piece prints so i bit the bullet and bought a rat rig vcore 3.1 500. In a way it kinda was like going backwards in a way because you still kinda have to fiddle with it, but the print quality and speed once dialed in is on par with BL printers. I have to enclose the massive thing yet and add afilament runout sensor but after that ill have a beast of a printer. Bad part is the vcore 3 is out of production and sold out and ill have to wait for the wait list and big push on the Vcore 4 before I can get one of those.
With all that said here is my wish list for what id like to see on the next gen printer whenever bambu decides to produce it, at least as easy and reliable as the x and p series printers, available in at least up to 350mm cubed, active heated chamber, better flowing hot end, and at least a bit more speed with quality prints. As for āit would be nice to havesā dual head IDEX with each head capable of supporting their own ams units and the ability to prime the next filament color in the stowed head while the other head prints drastically improving print times and reducing purge volume since the tool head can park on a header to keep pressure in the nozzle instead of a purge tower stealing valuable real-estate on the print bed. Dont tell me its not possible because rat rig already has announced this capability coming for all rat rig vcore 4 IDEX printer builds.
Honestly id prefer to stick with an out of the box solution with factory support and supply, but after using this vcore 3.1 for 2 weeks its a solid contender for my goto printers. I like how rat rig sells basically an entire kit so i only have minimal self sourcing to do unlike voron, not that im throwing shade on voron i just prefer an all in one solution.
The anniversary sale blares out āFILAMENT SALE! Basic filaments from $13.99!ā But when you click through, you see that the $13.99 price is for refill PLA (which is what I want) but you have to buy 8 rolls.
Or put another way: there is no price difference between the regular price and the anniversary price.
Here in Canada, the 3d effects plates just came back in stock yesterday and it looks like the price has been dropped even further today. Yesterday they were $28 each if you bought two
Today they are $17 each when you buy two. Essentially making them BOGO. If you ever wanted to try themā¦
As Iām typing this, I went back to the product page to take a screenshot of the $17 price and theyāre sold out already. I got mine and I hope you were able to get yours. Thank you notify-me-when-available
EDIT: The $17 price is the A1 mini price. The selection defaulted to that when the A1/P1 sold out.
In the U.K., we are suffering from constant and increasing sold out notices from the very first day of the sale.
PLA Basic yellow was out of stock on the first day and still is!
Re-usable filament spools were out of stock just as quickly.
PLA Basic and P,A Matte colour choices are restricted so that many choices are only available without a spool and with none to purchase, left with the need to use a significant amount of filament to print a spare spool.
I have had to split my filament order in half in the hopes I can get the colour choices I wanted later in the sale.
Have of the printers are on long lead times. At least you will eventually get those though.
I am grateful for the sale and the decent discounts. I just wish the U.K. would stop being the poor cousin.
Not usable for a disabled person like me. Shame they donāt come pre-applied.
In other news, thatās one of my least favorite colors
I got myself another smooth plate. Iām bummed the smooth/texture dual plates are so out of stock though. Donāt think thatāll be back in stock in time for the sale.
Iām working on that too. My long reaching goal is to have one roll of each filament that they offer! Iāve only got a full set of the matteās though; everything else is a bit hit or miss.
I went ahead and got myself a second AMS unit first though Iām one step closer to 8 colors, Malc! How many colors do you have going with your setup? do you do 4+ colors in single prints?!
Iām going to do a large sized settles of catan board! Decided I need more than 4 colors though. I donāt want to have to paint it, but I will do like an ink wash. I think itās gonna be cool.
Until recently I had an A1 mini with AMS lite and an A1 with AMS lite.
Now the A1 with AMS lite is being recalled.
I bought a P1S with two AMS units (8-colours).
Whilst I can print 8-colours, I try to refrain from that with the models I provide to MW as the average user only has one AMS unit.
I provided a large number of flags on coasters and Fidget Spinners. The moment I received the second AMS I was able to print the South African flag. It is now available in MW.
You will notice in the photo I have multiple shades and tints of most colours like reds, yellows, greens, blues and so on. I have a number of dual and triple colour filaments as well (not in the photo). Some metal colours, luminous and fluorescent ones as well.
A lot of the time, my multiple AMS setup will provide other benefits than allowing 8 simultaneous colours in a single model.
Automatic runout and refill
All primary colours are available without having to constantly swap colours out.
I will provide some other models in more than 4 colours, but, knowing that restricts userās ability to join in, I will always try (where possible) to provide a means to have a 4-colour AMS get close or a supporting variant.
BTW
You may have spotted a box of freezer bags at the top of the stack. Whilst I am untidy, that is not the reason.
I use those 2 gallon bags for my filament ps when I put them back in the boxes. They are very good, stay closed, are more flexible than the reusable ones sometimes provided and big enough to make it easy to put them into the box again.
Iāve talked to my dad about this a few times. Heās been working on a number of multi-color focused models and looking past 4 colors. Iāve thought about it a few times too with some ideas I have, but Iām hesitant. For my main motivation though, itās purely for my own project, so donāt have to worry about others!
Do you get much flack for your multi-color usage? I get such a mixed bag of reactions when I do multi-color stuff. Thereās always one person thatās mad at me because of the filament poop.
But oh yeah, so the P1S with the two AMS units, thatās a super recent addition huh? Nice. Iāll join you in the 4+ color club soon!
How you feeling about the P1S vs the A1 and A1 Mini?
None. Around 80% of my almost 400 models require an AMS.
When possible, I always provide a PAUSE option to allow those without an AMS to be able to print the item. By the nature of their design, it is usually not achievable as the colours are all in the same layers.
I work hard to minimise the waste material for my benefit and the users. I tweak the flushing volumes and the order in which the colours are laid down. Sometimes I provide a high and low-contrast set of profiles.
I imagine as you are known for single colour capable models when you introduce colour, that is a change.
My Willies collection models are all available in two or more colours with a single colour as a backup option. Most are printed in more than one colour. Someone who produces excellent designs of all sorts @Valeria_Momo produces a collection of Worms. I didnāt know her before I started adding multi-colour profiles of her Worms. The single-colour versions are significantly more popular than the multi-colour ones.
My takeaway from this is it comes from what you are known for. Valeria is another designer who makes compelling designs using coloured results that do not always require the AMS, although she makes many that do.
You clearly didnāt follow my rant.
The P1S turned up around 10 days ago, and the second AMS unit turned up a couple of days later.
It was too easy to set up, even for a disabled bloke like me.
I like the smaller footprint of the P1S. There are still some things that print faster on the A1 and a tiny bit faster on the A1 mini vs the P1S.
The A series with AMS lite can print multi-colour items faster than the P1S. This has a lot to do with the travel path of the filament being shorter than with the P1S. With constant colour swapping, the travel length mounts up.
Hahahaha, well, I did see you got things resolved though! And a discount from the sale!
I could see that. I do try and be careful how I introduce mutli-color elements. I felt bad with my wireless charging stand because even though it was in the same style as my previous stands, it did introduce print in place multi-color. I thought it was cool, but I leaned in to the requiring AMS part of it, and got a few complaints about that. Sorry!
I like Valeriaās worms. One of my favorite games, the worms series. Valeriaās work in general is pretty fun.
I was thinking like a coaster set. Basically something where each of us as a designer makes our own coaster to be part of the set a as a whole. Could figure out a fun base design, with holder, and then each designer could make their own graphic for the top, or something, like I said.
End users could print the coasters from their favorite designers!
Oh, I donāt know. I canāt even put my infamous laser gun drawing on one, as it might trigger a few warnings and strongly worded letters about how this is a family friendly website.
