The new "Home" for profiles

I think displaying the makes is also a way to give non-designers an identifying home page. Yes, I would also like to only have my pinned models and then the rest but that is speaking as a designer. So I think the makes is a great addition for the rest of the users but they should be able to tick a visible selection instead of having every filament clip and 18+ model displayed

Did you use TPU for AMS for that one or just regular TPU?
Asking for a friend…

So this blame Josh thing… Is that just for here on MakerWorld or can it also be extended to everyday life thing as well?

sure i completely get it, it’s really a personal preference that makes sense for me, but i agree that not for others

and i don’t mind having the makes visible, the first visible is a cool one:

wouldn’t you agree @Josh-3D ?

My ex curses my name for all sorts of things that aren’t my fault, so everyone else might as well too.

I certainly wont be pressing D for doubt! Where’s that A for agree key.

Geez @MakerWorld your incompetency just keeps on giving. Print history fail. Seriously what AI do you use to come up with such clangers?

We ask for collection management and we get this.

We ask for model boilerplate content and we get this.

Neither requires consent, neither plays fast and loose with privacy, each adds to the management side of things to make it easier for designers and better for users.

We get this.

What do we need to say to get the things that help everyone, annoy no one and gives you some much-needed positive PR?

I saw that too, but 3:4 it is not “prioritized,” it’s forced. It makes you put up a photo in portrait for the app now. It really sucks, especially for me. When I photograph my prints I do it in a certain way. I’m not changing the way I photograph and design covers for the stupid app. @MakerWorld bring back landscape for cover in the app. No one but the lazy hue forge makers use portrait. They just look bad

My apologies to the lazy hue forge makers

Yes, everything that this gentleman said. Specially that last one. If I print an Espresso Tamper that is my business and no one else needs to know that I like coffee. Implement a way to turn this off, it is a huge violation of privacy!

“Dear user,
We implemented this change for your own good. Trust us, we know what is best for you and implementing this Home change in your profile and showing the plu… tamper you printed is a good way of showing others how you enjoy 3D printing.
Sincerely, Bambu.”

See, LightBulb knows what I’m saying! I posted some Christmas ornaments this year and this one was downloaded 78422% more than the other ones. I want my 60 subscribers to feel like they are in a safe space, people don’t need to know their holiday traditions!

I think you can just leave that blank and the horizontal one will be on both

Yeah, that was how I read it also… i.e. if both photo aspect ratios are present, the 3:4 photo would take priority. However MM was stating it behaves otherwise, so maybe they’ve used it and it behaves differently ?

You can just not upload an app cover and it will show the landscape one. It’s been this way for a while, they just emphasized it more.

I do think that some models look OK with vertical.

^ Model itself isn’t great, but the photos worked well

^ is cropped down to portrait on the actual model

I haven’t ever provided a 4:3 and I am coming up on 700 published models.

I’m already providing 7 profiles per model, sometimes more, many models have 16 images, too much to do to also provide portrait images and the mobile presentation looks fine to me.

Two of your ghosts clearly seem apprehensive about portrait.
