The wait ends on March 25! šŸš€

They already stated that Build plate check will be performed AI powered before a start.

What at least would be a cool feature would a 2D copying function.

For example you place your old seal/gasket on the printbed, it will scan it, then insert a new sheet and it will make you a copy ot it without the use of any PC /mobile phone

Whilst her and her team seem trustworthy, they probably get sent vetted printers… I got a printer based on glowing reviews from her channel but mine was a total lemon (taco bed, curved exteusion, etc) and the subreddit for the printer showed a LOT of people suffered from various QC issues!

Its really luck of the draw. Every brand has a certain % of lemons. Its up to the customer to understand that, when they are the receiver of the 1% lemons or whatever it may be. My 1st x1c was doa. my 2nd one worked flawlessly. Now imagine if after the 1st one, i assumed they all sucked

Step outside these few new threads, and youll see tons of lemons or people that think they have lemons because the 3d printing learning curve is kicking their butts.

The only thing thats consistent is that 95% of the brands have crappy support lol. And a side affect of massive sales is massive lemons.

I think the worst problem here is that H2D doesn’t work with LAN, which makes it almost impossible to use 3rd party slicers. What’s the point if I can’t use Orca!!! ah why Bambu? :triumph: :triumph: :triumph:

probably because there is a laser and cutter now in there and they kind of dont want people hacking their tech ?

I dont think that is the case. The only mention I saw of LAN being disabled we when a USB drive is not plugged into the printer:

Is a USB included as standard? What functions are affected without a USB?
No, a USB is not included. The printer has built-in storage for printing, but without a USB, the following functions are affected:

  1. No recording or time-lapse photography.
  2. Printing cannot be initiated via LAN.
  3. Print files cannot be stored through the studio.
  4. Log files cannot be exported

It’s true, since the last update, it was already clear that they would not allow users to modify their devices. Also, this doesn’t affect me much, if I wanted to do modding, I would go for voron printers to build and modify for myself. A specially Voron 2.4 is still commonly prefered for community.

A dual extruder print head with PLA in one side and clear PETG in the other for support interfaces would be like a dream. Completely clean support removal, done quickly.

Bottom-right is most definitely an AMS unit with an airflow diagram which to me seems like an AMS that is also a filament dryer!

Even though it’s far out of my price range (perfectly happy with my A1), I’m still very much looking forward to see what this beast will bring!

But did you dump Bambu Connect yet? If that comes on it I’m not interested, my X1 is offline with remote access via LAN and HA.

The specs say the basic AMS 2 Pro is a heated unit (up to 65C), and its backwards compatible. From that name (AMS 2 PRO), I’m assuming there may even be a second AMS on the way, aside from the AMS HT. We’ll see.

If the cost is $3-4k…I foresee a jump to Prusa…5heads for not much more…2 for less… I love my A1…but have an Xtool 20W & 40W D1Pro (extended laser cutter…with a 900 x 400+ mm cut size) so don’t want this… Jack of all trades approach never works out…!!!

The XL multi-head printer will be better for most things people want two print heads for (not to mention the 360mm is a real 360mm build area on the XL, not 85% of the advertised amount like the Bambu).

The H2D looks to be significantly slower than an XL if there are a lot of color or filament changes. Looks like it will still need to retract and advance the filament to change heads (but I’ll wait for launch before calling it gospel).

But… the H2D will have a heated chamber and multi-filament capability (even if its slow) unlike any of the Prusas.

Not sure what possessed them to add a diode laser to a 300mm work area that doubles as a print bed. My $200 Two Trees diode has 400x400mm area and there is no way I’d ever buy in to the laser module for the H2D.

Personally, I’m still on the wall and will make a decision when everything is known.

I would normally agree. But a good amount of new users have been a little brainwashed into thinking its all Bambu or die. In their minds, no other company has ever produced a printer that prints, and they all copy bambu. Ive literally seen people claim creality bedslingers are just knockoff a1’s or that bambu created the core xy and dual bar gantry. Even though 2 years ago, bambu was saying they would never make a bedslinger. They may see one reviewer say they had issues, and then assume every unit has issues. At this point, Bambu could probably get away with whatever. Like Apple. The auth system changes have already proven this.

They could have put a whipped cream dispenser in it and people would be so happy about the ice cream sundaes theyre going to make lol.

Its also kinda amazing how many brand new forum members have popped up in the last 2 weeks.

I would absolutely love this, if true. Game changer… but I’m not so sure…

Excellent points. Thank you for the additional information and not simply splurging over the thought of a BBL release. The size has always been a concern for most people, but we’ve managed so far. If Prusa is reliable enough and needs no little to no downtime and minimal maintenance, then there will be a rivalry of who can afford the true ā€œbestā€ machine. Cost aside, I am curious primarily to know if there will be improvements made upon filament waste using AMS and IDEX. I really wanted to say automatic removal of prints, but I understand this may be a mythical creature of sorts still.
