Very large layer shift two times in a row?

EDIT: The instructions below may not work (unless you make the change I suggest) because according to this post there is syncing of the profiles in the cloud. I was suspicious about this because it seemed like that might be the case based on my experience. If you go to Bambu Studio settings, you can uncheck “Autosync user presets” and “Update built-in Presets automatically”

I don’t think the older version will change the fan values back to the old values

I asked ChatGPT how to downgrade to an older version and remove the old profiles. ChatGPT is not always correct, so the instructions below may or may not work. Maybe make a backup of the configurations in case you need to re-add them.

Yes, you can remove all the old profiles to reset Bambu Studio to its default settings when you install an older version. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Uninstall Bambu Studio: Completely uninstall the current version of Bambu Studio from your system.
  2. Delete Configuration Files:
  • On Windows, navigate to the following directory (you might need to enable viewing hidden files and folders):
C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\BambuStudio
  • On macOS, go to:
~/Library/Application Support/BambuStudio
  • On Linux, check:
~/.config/BambuStudio
  • Delete the BambuStudio folder to remove all configuration files, including profiles.
  1. Reinstall the Older Version:
  • Download the older version of Bambu Studio from the official website or a trusted source.
  • Install the older version as you normally would.

By deleting the configuration files, you ensure that Bambu Studio will recreate them with default settings and profiles when you run it after the installation. This way, you will start fresh with the default profiles provided by the older version of the software.
