VOXEL X-Filter (HEPA 13 and Activated Carbon Combo Filter)

This wiper uses the A1 style, they’re a little different. I’ve printed it and compared the Mini, too narrow.

I have this.

The rubber part has double-sided tape so you can replace it for the one you yank out of the plastic housing.

We recommend using both the Bento Box and the X-Filter. The Bento Box cleans the air inside and the X-Filter cleans the air coming out of the machine.

Thanks!

Did you monitor the particulate levels?

Thomas measured the particles here.

Is it also necessary to use a purge chute cover?

Same question. The only reading I see on his meter is TVOC. Even so, it looks like their carbon does better then BL carbon. I hope this isn’t because it is acid activated.

Saw that. Just looking for more reviews. Microplastics that are small enough to get into the bloodstream and cross the blood-brain barrier may be a bigger deal than VOCs. So, I’d like to see multiple tests.

Our carbon is acid-free; we use a high surface area carbon, so it is more effective at absorbing VOC.

Good luck getting them. You will eventually I think. I ordered five because their website said it would ship in 2 - 3 days if I ordered five. After three days I checked with them and they said they might ship 10 days after I ordered them. Then the USPS would deliver them in a few days. I cancelled the order. The was Voxel’s second chance, as they took weeks to deliver a previous order. YMMV.

I think you might not have read the whole thread. I got them a few days after I ordered them and posted the testing here.

I didn’t read the whole thread. Glad you had good luck with them. I have not been so fortunate, twice, and won’t try a third time.

As we discussed over email, your units are undergoing quality testing. We must ensure the performance is as advertised. I hope you can give it a try in the future. The complimentary store credit we provided to you won’t expire.

I noticed that your meter was missing the particle counts, so I did a quick test with ABS using my Amazon Smart Air Quality Monitor, and the X-Filter I got 2 days ago. The sensor measures both PM2.5 particles (µg/m^3), and VOC on a scale from 0 to 100 (0 means minimal VOC, and 100 means you just smoked 5 packs of cigarettes). For the print model, I printed a benchy with 50% of the back fan.

Here are the measurements that I got (all tests ran in the same room):
Baseline (Printer On; not printing): 14 VOC - PM2.5: 6µg/m^3
Printing (With the Stock Filter): 35 VOC - PM2.5: 53µg/m^3
Printing (With the X-Filter): 19 VOC - PM2.5: 6µg/m^3

In conclusion, the X-Filter is much better than the stock filter. The VOC level is almost half that of the stock carbon filter, and it removes all particles when printing ABS.

I know this is not 100% scientific, just a quick test to see how effective it is. From what I read the amazon sensor is pretty accurate and it can be connected to alexa and what not. Pretty cool little thing.

Re: the HEPA and Carbon filters.

I spoke about ordering 4 and how the U.K. has no free-shipping, which is fair enough. The time for delivery though is horrific, up to a month with the ‘cheapest’ delivery (not cheap) and over twice the price for around 10 days delivery.

I commented that I determined the lack of free shipping by adding a test 20 to my basket and still no free-shipping.

The Voxel account said if I reached out I could get a discount on shipping, which I ddid, many confusing DMs later, it turns out I was meant to contact Voxel support as 20 units would get me a discount on shipping.

The 20 units was the test to determine if there was any free shipping.

I only wanted 4 one for each of the current printers.

£5 each is a decent price, with a month long shipping estimate they are £9 each, with a ten day shipping estimate they are more than £13 each.

I have ordered directly form the states before and been charged far less for far faster delivery for much more weight and size.

I haven’t order yet, not sure I will the delivery time is mental.

As many of you know, I am on borrowed time, I may not get them before I expire.

The USPS is slow with international shipping because it has to go to Royal Mail once it gets to the UK. I checked for you, and we have an option for 10 X-Filter with UPS. Arrival in 10 days to the UK for $30 USD. If you are interested, DM me or reach out to the support staff via the website and we can get that ready for you.
