For the silicone wipers mentioned here, they work great for factory nozzles but I had a bad experience using it with the revo nozzles. It just smeared the filament across the flat face of the nozzle⦠Used a plus 4 wiper cut down.
The HEPA/Carbon combo filter looks good. I have no way to test them to add to that list, but the parts look like they should work.
I also picked up a bento box and thatās pretty sweet, too. I did add a hole to the fan mount so the wires would pass cleanly into the base, but nice unit. Dropped right in.
i have a Bento Box running and will be adding this design to circulate the chamber air for printing ASA and ABS, this will also keep the temperature higher and Iām hoping for even better prints https://makerworld.com/en/models/504505#profileId-420149
Yes taxes that is correct with shipping costs it would have been twice as expensive.
Voxel had not settled the taxes there would have been additional administration costs from UPS axes.
Total Taxes and administration costs handling it came to 19.55 euros extra. on top of the purchase price with shipping costs.
For 5 pieces.
So this was the first and last time I buy that via Voxel.
Thanks, so theyāre not vacuum sealed as it looks.
Iām asking because @VOXELPLA mentioned that āThe activated carbon will be less efficient after 2 months.ā and shipping to Europe is quite expensive. Would only make sense to order a bigger quantity and if they are still good after longer storage.
They wouldnāt be good for vacuum sealing as part of the filter enclosure is foam that would compact from pressure. That might compromise it but not sure.
They could always be stored in some other outer container impermeable to contaminants. I believe itās just activated charcoal and filter material so they might not need a whole lot of protection like something like desiccant that will grab any water it can and lose capacity.
Still not sure why you wouldnāt make your own. Itās an easy print and the expense of the filters and charcoal is minimal when you figure how many you will get out of the bag.
Plus you can vacuum seal the charcoal in a filament dry bag easily.
