I’m having the same issues, I’ve had a support request open since 5th of January and they stopped responding after 8th January, after a lot of copy pasting of the broad guidelines and no specific information, they eventually contradicted themselves a bit before going quiet.
I’ve made a couple of posts on the reddit about it, and will continue to update until there is closure one way or another. In theory I will be able to redeem points again on 5th of February, but I’m not feeling optimistic and kind of expect them to just ban me again as soon as I try haha.
I have a fair number to redeem and in light of all these problems I feel a support ticket asking if my account has been involved in any bot activity is justified. I’ve also asked how many I can redeem in 1 day / 1 week etc.
Since its mentions points and not vouchers, that would mean you can redeem approx 13 vouchers per week (UK 535 points per) and then save them up, and use however many on your next bambu order.
There is a max of 6988 points that can be converted into gift cards per week, I ran into it multiple times and it’s been there since end of November at least.
There is no limit of gift cards that can be applied to a single purchase.
Hello everyone, A few days ago I shared the link to my profile on a group of school friends, yesterday I noticed that I had a notification from the system informing me that I had been banned for a month for earning points. It didn’t bother me that much, but I opened a ticket anyway to better understand if I had done something wrong. shortly after I discovered that some of these friends, thinking of doing me a favor, downloaded and liked several models. This caused the system to trigger, on the one hand I was pleased since it made me understand that the platform is quite serious about these things which is good, but the trigger seemed too sensitive to me. I guess that’s also why there isn’t a share button.
Same thing happened to me. My main gripe was that my model was showing on the 30 day trending page for 2 days prior to getting flagged. Seems like if they don’t want folks downloading things maybe they shouldn’t feature/trend models.
I just redeemed MW points for a P1S. As far as I can tell there’s no limit to the number of vouchers you can use on an order, only on the number of vouchers you can acquire per day. I cash mine out as soon as I have enough points, so it hasn’t been an issue other than the occasional system review flag.
Yeah, seems like automatic system falsely flagged my account. First time for me, and been on MW for a while now. That puts me fear not to share on social media platforms anymore that can cause an influx of users.
i doubt automatic system is the issue i would think an automated one would put on hold for investigating temporarily, i bet there is something you arent telling us here… im glad they are clamping down on the system abusers some of us work hard to make stuff beyond simple hueforge 2d printed ■■■■
I have seen quite a few reports from people who have reported the same after sharing a post on reddit/facebook/etc. Sure some of them might be lying, but the majority? I doubt it.
There seems to be a frustratingly frequent occurrence where a model becoming trending on MW, or becoming popular via social media results in punishment. I’ve experienced it myself in the first week MW launched, when a profile I made for a model got put on the trending page, leading to a huge spike in DLs.
I guess the big question is if it is a big sudden spike of views, spike of downloads, or an uncommon ratio of views vs downloads vs prints.
Even not so special designs posted in the Bambu subreddit can easily get 5k views (on reddit) in a short amount of time if it’s posted on a weekend during US primetime. The people that then go to MakerWorld to check / download / print it will just be a small percentage, but if someone has a really popular design that could be different and result in a big spike.
I guess a good approach for extreme cases could be that the points for such models are still collected, but placed in a second “wallet” that first needs to be approved before they can be accessed. Bambu should be able to see where the majority of clicks come from, and if it’s a normal legit 3d printing subreddit or so it should be clear that nothing is shady and the user should get them. If they’re coming from shady closed / private group or so it would be different.
