I had a problem to generate the Bambu lab x1 Carbon 3D printer QR code.
The problem comes when the printer asking for the network and the wifi network connected just fine after giving the password and the user.
after the wifi is connected but the printer still not generate the qr code. Later on i tried to skip it an proceed with the calibration.
When it comes to the bind the printer to the Bambu Studio and Bambu Handy, again it will ask for QR code but since the QR code is not generated i decided to used nearby device and it found the printer. but when i choose the printer device it failed mentioning the error IOT_ERROR_REGION_LIMITED.
I did change the region numerous times and the result are still the same.
Is there anyone experiences the same problem and solve the matter. Really need the help.
not sure if the product is for the China market…but the error came out when i tried to bind the printer eventhough the qr code are still not generated.
Why can the Bambu Lab solve this issue. eventhough the product came from the china and for the china used only, but it still doesnt change the fact that this is the Bambu Lab product by the way.
Hello, I have the same problem. I undesrtood that the problem might be connected to the firmware version that you have on your printer. I updated my X1C to the latest version 01.07.02.00. It worked fine for few days than yestarday the printer got offline. Thare is a topic related to it: Update to firmware version 01.07.00.00 and LAN only mode
I partially solved the problem switching to LAN connection. Now I can control the printer using bambu studio even if I can’t use the bambu handy app. In this video you can find usefull informatoin: https://youtu.be/TCLN7UoZa6Y?si=zE8LLrh7JIQ8o7AV
I think we have to wait until the next frimware update wil be produced or contacting Bambulab in order to downgrade the printer to the previous firmware in my case.
If you’re not physically located in China, the QR code won’t work as you cannot bind the printer to the cloud except in China. You can only use it in LAN Only mode locally on your network. To bypass the QR code just put your wifi details on the SD card.
I have same problem with my X1C too, I have no idea why it just won’t generate QR code. Besides, the Bambu lab Studio somehow said the current firmware is the lastest, but there is actually newer version online. There is no access to update this printer currently.
I had the same problem with my X1 Carbon when connecting to my office network via WiFi. It connected, however was not displaying the QR. Instead I used my mobile hotspot and once connected it produced a QR code scanned it in and connected. I then hit firmware update on the X1 screen, and then it seems to work after that connecting the the office WiFi.
Same experience here on an X1C I received a few weeks ago. Got it connected to my wifi, and the internet connectivity test succeeded, but the QR code simply never appeared. Setup 2.4GHz hotspot on my phone, connected the printer to it, and it immediately popped up a dialog saying a firmware update is available. I clicked “Later” because I wanted to check the QR code first, and sure enough, it appeared right away when I clicked on the “Account” tab. Paired it via the Handy app, then installed the firmware update, and when it booted up, it was back on my wifi rather than the hotspot. Both Handy and Studio worked from that point, though there was a second firmware update available right after the first.
Hi community,
I had the same problem and the workaround from user notshure helped.
A small note on the mobile phone hotspot: I also had to disconnect the phone from the company wifi and use the internet access from my phone provider, only then did the printer generate a code and everything else went exactly as user notshure described.
Probably company networks have higher security standards that prevent the first access to the Internet of the printer with the outdated firmware.
Many thanks to everyone who helped to solve the problem!
