I know, I installed this version already yesterday. Great for my next published design.
I didnât update when the enhanced tie-ins to Makerworld were introduced. After getting burned with the Fusion update a little over a week ago, Iâll be hanging back a little longer it looks. Thanks for all the bug reports, though. It sure drove home waiting a while to see what shakes out before committing.
Iâm really curious about the exclusion zones. Is the exclusion zone an area where you canât have another part or where you canât get closer than another exclusion zone?
Itâs confusing but I would have guessed that it is ok to have exclusion zones overlap but that you canât have other parts in a partâs exclusion zone?
Problem: Printer error messages should display printer name in dialog box
Studio Version: 1.9.2.57
Platform: Windows 11 Pro (23H2)
Steps to reproduce:
Have eleven printers.
Have an error on one of the printers.
Be unsure which printer is having the problem.
Panic.
This should be a fairly simple fix. Thanks!
Absolutely unusable 3D navigation in Bambu Studio. Iâm trying to rotate a large object while using a paint tool. Both tool and rotation are assigned to the left mouse button. Trying to rotate object leads to painting it. In order to rotate the object I need to unzoom it until I see some free space, then use mouse with left button in that free space and then zoom back.
Please, take a look to any other 3D modelling software (Blender, Fusion, FreeCad). They reserve a separate buttons for rotation/panning (Shift or Alt or Middle Mouse Button). These buttons do not perform any other functions.
Ctrl+left mouse button rotates without painting in Windows.
I assume Command+left button would do the same on a Mac.
Many thanks Ikarus, youâve saved me plenty of hours of work.
Bambu should do better on documentation. Their Wiki explicitly states only Left Mouse Button to rotate.

Anycubic Chiron stops mid print
I wonder if other Anycubic owners are having this problem.
As the Chiron executes the GCode, it will just stop as if the gcode has requested a stop and the printhead just freezes on the very spot it was printing on. It appears to me that there is an odd command issued in the gcode when complex prints are sliced. I am looking into the generated Gcode at the moment.
I have tested the gcode with simple prints and these have printed normally. This is a very weird fault. I have sliced the same model with cura and it has printed perfectly.
Problem: Fuzzy Skin causes occasional larger spikes
Studio Version: 1.9.2
Platform: Win10
Steps to reproduce: Enable Fuzzy skin = some spikes are too large.
Same settings in Orcaslicer are ok.
Prusa Slicer has the same issues as Bambu Studio.
Same settings in modern Cura is ok, but old Cura 4.3 has same issues as Bambu studio. (I think fuzzy skin was originally based on Cura code?)
This tool wonât allow me to attach the project or pictures or a link unfortunately. Itâs a hinged design that doesnât work when printed with Bambu Studio but it works fine with Orca Slicer and Cura:
Fuzzy Skin: Contour
Point Distance: 0.4
Thickness: 0.1
Makerworld model 409709: Skull Book storage - Snap close, no magnets needed
Problem: Slicer adds tiny bits of Sup.PLA in useless places.
Studio Version: 1.9.1.67
Steps to reproduce:
- Load the 3mf file
- Enable support, auto, default
- Set support/raft interface to Sup.PLA
- Slice.
- Notice bits of Sup.PLA in weird places.
Well, it looks like the forum wonât let me attach my 3mf file. Please let me know how I can provide it.
Oh, and the forum wonât let me attach screenshots either. How can I file a bug report if I canât post images?
Problem: Bambu Studio wonât slice models with organic tree supports that go beyond the plate boundary. Previous versions would cut off the tree support and flatten the side against the plate boundary, preserving the ability to print.
Studio Version: 01.09.02.57
Platform: Windows
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Bambu Studio version 01.09.01.66 or newer.
- Slice a model with a generated tree support that runs beyond the plate boundary.
- Error: âA G-code path goes beyond plate boundaries.â
This error started occurring on Bambu Studio version 1.09.01.66 and newer. Previous versions would complete the slice and remove the portions of the support that were beyond the plate boundary. This has occurred on several models that are large. The models were printable in previous versions and are no longer printable on newer software versions without downgrading the Bambu Studio version to 1.08.02.56.
v01.09.02.57
G-code error, not printable
v01.09.01.66
G-code error, not printable
v01.08.02.56
No G-code error, printable
I have images I can share and time-lapse videos showing successful printing of models >20x that are no longer printable in newer versions of Bambu Studio, but this reply format isnât accepting media uploads.
Log file: uploaded log file [following this guide ]
Iâve pulled the log file, but this reply format isnât allowing me to upload a log.

Problem: Bambu Studio fails to send print job over the bambu cloud. After sending a few prints or leaving the program open for more than ~20 minutes it says âFailed to send the print job. Please try again.â If you hit âCheck the Reasonâ it says Error code 0 with no description or other information. We have 62 bambu printers connected to the cloud and started getting this error in the last ~2 months. We have updated to most recent version 1.9.2.57 and problem persists.
Studio Version: 1.9.2.57
Platform: Windows 11
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Bambu Studio
- Send 3-5 prints or leave the program open for more than ~20 minutes.
- Get error code 0 when trying to send a new print.
Closing the program and reopening lets you immediately send the same print on the same printer.

Problem: Bei einem manuellen Filamentwechsel stöĂt die Nozzle an die linke vordere Seite und verbiegt mir die Nozzle!
Version: 1.9.3.50
Platform: Win11
Problem: Bambu Studio crashes on Mac OS when changing speed (i.e. from Standard to Sport or Sport to Silent)
Studio Verson: 1.9.3.50
Platform: MacOS 14.5 Intel
Steps to reprooduce:
- Click on Speed Control
- Change Speed
- Click again
Log File and Mac Crash File: Iâm unable to provide a link to Google Drive or attach a file.
Problem: Bambu Studio wonât print sample files from sd card.
Studio Version: 1.9.3.50
Platform: MacOS
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Bambu Studio.
- Go to Device.
- Select Micro SD Card from left column.
- Select any of the sample models provided in the sd card (i.e. Benchy).
- Info box pops up with "Failed to fetch model information from printer.
Other information: Mac OS 12.7.1, MacBook Air Early 2015
I am able to print the sample files (i.e. Benchy) directly from the printer. When I attempt to print via Bambu Studio, I get the error message.
I uploaded a personal file and am able to print that file through Bambu Studio but not the sample files.
I took a copy of the Benchy file and loaded into the slicer and a warning popped up reading:
âThe 3mf has following modified G-code in filament or printer presets:
-machine_start_gcode
-time_lapse_gcode
Please confirm that these modified G-codes are safe to prevent any damage to the machine!â
Before this update, I was able to print the sample files through Bambu Studio without any issues.
Problem: Multi-Color settings are lost when slicing if object settings are updated
Studio Version: 1.9.3.50
Platform: MacOS
Steps to Reproduce:
- Open Bambu Studio
- Select Online Models
- Select a Multi-Color Model to slice
4.Download and Open Multi-Color Model - Select Object Settings
- Change any Value
- Slice Plate
What I am seeing is that if I change any Object Setting that the multi-color attribute of the file I am slicing is lost and the file slices into whatever the filament setting is for the object as a whole. Additionally the object then does not respond to âColor Paintingâ. All Multi-Color attributes are lost when slice plate is clicked. If I do not make any changes to the object settings, the item retains its multi-color values when I slice the plate.
Generic PLA Silk seems to have disapeared from the available filaments under the prepare tab.
It is showing as selected in the filament settings window and available in the device tab.
