I have a package lost by the delivery company DPD in their own depot. Ticket create a week ago, no response other than automated ones.
I wish to place an order and receive it. I am genuinely concerned it may never arrive.
Given the poor handling of the situation and the lacklustre response and communications from BL, has this affected your decision to purchase something?
Use this thread to share your next purchase concerns, leave your thoughts and stories about what you have endured thus far in the correct post for that.
How do the issues with the delayed in shipping, lost packages, confusing or missing tracking information affect your next purchase whenever that may be?
Affect your purchase means that you may think twice or delay any purchase.

Please, only post your future order concerns here.
As of 2024-12-25 a combined 78% have concerns that may or will affect their future purchases.
This is a small sample and biased towards those who took the time to visit the forum, but, not a great position.
My worries are if i was to ever order another product or have an issue whats the chances i will actually get real customer support and not just a copy/paste blanket answer that doesnt pertain to my answer.
Also another concern that will my product even be shipped if i ever order again?
I know chinese companies take a little longer to respond, since ive been doing this over 10 yrs but whats the chance that the company be trusted after dozens of returns and refunds lately.
I purchased an X1C on 12/02, and one from Qidi on 12/04. The X1C Shipped from Trenton, NJ on 12/03. The Qidi from China on 12/05. The X1C has been marked as out for delivery every single day since 12/6, but not delivered (going back to the local depot at the end of every day). The Qidi came in on 12/13, was damaged. Their customer support answered my ticket within 4 hours, sent out replacement parts, and refunded me 20% of my order total. The Bambu labs ticket was put in on 12/7 and still not received a response.
My plan going forward is to order what I can from Bambu plenty in advance, and otherwise order from a short list of quality filament vendors off amazon. Iām going to try to keep that list to only 1 or 2 manufacturers so I can develop a stable print profile library, and order from other manufacturers for specialty filaments as necessary.
Right now this looks like this for me (in order of priority):
I feel bad. In the US, you order something & it shows up. Only āproblemsā Iāve had were spare parts sent in a flimsy bag and one box of filament that wasnāt well taped (but I did end up getting all of them). And that is over dozens of orders.
Little to know customer support. If I want support, I have to stay up overnight to talk to someone. Everything Iām told online is a lie. They say they are waiting for UPS to pick it up, but UPS says theyāve been there more than a dozen times and are not experiencing any noticeable delays. Bambu plainly does not have the printers they have sold. Period. I paid fully for mine on Dec 2, 2024, and 15 days later tracking says they are still waiting for UPS to pick it up. BS. Another few days and I will do a charge back.
I have some points saved up and wanted to try the new silks and a linear servo/actuator to see how that works with a Prop-Maker.
None is rush or hurry and thereās no deadlines in the balance so Iām just going to wait until after Christmas to order and not contribute to the current issues. (Iāll contribute to the ones after the holidays ) Plus itās possibly less chance of problems though all of my orders have thankfully made it through clean. I did have a hole in the box the printer came in when it arrived, but thankfully no dents, damage, or broken glass.
I donāt think my case fit any of the choices so make of it what you will.
Malc, Did you lost a package last time (or was it stolen?), and right after that you placed a big order of something like AMSs and filaments? If yes, I would bet that history will repeat itself and the effect is that your next purchase will be even bigger
I certainly didnāt lose it, it never got near me.
DPD have lost it in their depot. It has been there for 12 days.
It is the third delivery by DPD with a package lost or stolen by their staff.
I will be live-tracking my latest order as there are so many issues including much newer orders being delivered before the ones from October still havenāt.
On Dec 6, I ordered two rolls of filament and 2 LED light panels for lithophanes, for Christmas presents. Theyāre now projecting Jan 2 for delivery, almost a full month. Others have been frustrated too, obviously.
So, Iām quite reluctant to order again from Bambu Lab, ever. What will it take for any of you to order again from them? I mean, anything that can be sourced somewhere else, obviously.
For me, Iād like to see posts from people satisfied with deliveries, on this forum for example. Itās going to be a good long time before I order anything from them again. Anyone else?
I have found that delivery timelines depend greatly on the region you live in. People in the US seem to have a vastly different experience from those in the EU and other regions.
I have been disappointed in the amount of filament that appears to be constantly out of stock. Hopefully they resupply in the new year after all these sales are done.
I would still order from them. Two of my 6 orders from the last 3 months were delayed a week or two but Iām happy with the compensation vouchers they sent out. They made small mistakes with a couple of the orders too and it was annoying raising tickets but theyāve always fixed it in the past and I think it will be ok.
The delays appear to be with DPD and their backlog as ALL of my DHL parcels arrived super quick. Iām hoping either Bambu stops using DPD or DPD sorts out their issues.
I ordered a P1S combo.
With that order I also placed one for a bulk load of filament.
It was only AFTER I paid for the order and Bambu had a day to process that I was informed they can not deliver the big printer to Australia Post parcel lockers.
delivering it to my neighbour instead so it would not be left sitting in my driveway was no option either because they need MY signature for the delivery.
Had to beg my boss to to have it sent to work instead.
Only to find out the guy delivering it would have just dropped the printer right next to the delivery entrance and left if he had not been spotted by someone.
Already had āmyā signature on his digital padā¦
Bambu promised to investigate that but never got back to me despite having asked a few times.
The filament?
After two weeks I contacted Bambu to ask when they can be bothered to provide a tracking number.
āOh, we did not process it as we are ONE roll short but we will send it out as soon as it can be completed!ā
ONE roll out of 30ā¦
Another request to find out WHEN that will happen to hear that they donāt know, so I requested as kindly as still could to just change the order to send out what they have.
āSorry but we canāt do this, can we offer you a store credit for the missing roll?ā
Bambu canāt transfer back the money for one roll and change the order arrodingly ???
Anyway, almost 4 weeks after paying for it I got a tracking number and it showed āovernight expressā.
WOW Bambu tried to make good after allā¦
Next morning the tracking stated it is being processed at a local sorting facility.
Just after 2PM that changed to 'Attempted delivery - failed"ā¦
Called the provided service number to hear no one was home - well go figure some people do need to work for a living.
Told them my neighbour has an authorisation note already and to drop it off with him.
No problem the nice lady said and the next I see again a failed notice.
This time together with the note to contact the nearest collection point as only two delivery attempts will be made.
A 100km round trip and their 'shop only open between 9AM and 4PM - how convenient for those who have to work.
Bambu was VERY reluctant to accept any failure on their end and it took me another week filled with repeating myself to their bots until a cancellation was accepted.
Of course it still took a few more days to actually get the money back.
Bambu used only the worst available shipping services - the cheapest ones who would have a negative star review if that would be possible.
That is not the worst part though.
Their support is far from being supportive and or par with what should be be done training wise.
Combined with the fact that the customer has no chance of finding out what shipping service might be used until a tracking number is providedā¦
Bambu wonāt even offer alternatives, not even if the customer would be willing to pay the difference.
In a country well known for the high rate of stolen deliveries this is insulting.
Needless to say that over the months I started to require some spare parts.
The downside of printing a lot I guessā¦
Burned twice I contacted the Bambu support with my wish list and kindly asked if I could place the order, give them the order number before paying so they would Australia Post to deliver the lot.
Being burned by the support way too many times I also request to be provided with the means to stay with THE SAME support agentā¦
Needless to say the later was fully ignored I faced their bot system once more.
Took me three days to finally establish Bambu wonāt use Australia Post, only exception is for things small enough to fit into a padded envelope.
Wasted another two days to find what I need on AliExpress, accepted to have to use a bunch of sellers and that it will take at least two weeks to arrive.
One thing is certain - Once the P1S develops more wear and tear than what it is worth replacing my next printer wonāt be a Bambu oneā¦
Ok, my Dec 6 order arrived today, Dec 27. Others told me not to worry about Bambu, they ordered filament Dec 21, delivered Dec 23. Well, fine for them, but why was I STILL WAITING for filament ordered 2 weeks earlier?! People said too bad, ordered right around Black Friday/Year End Sale window. Again, fine, fair enough, but WHY are LATER orders arriving EARLIER?
I will, for some time, only order filament from my Amazon sources. I like Sunlu and Elegoo, mainly, having very good success with both the orders and their filament. The only Bambu things Iāll order are items only available from them, at least for a couple of months.
I think that once the xmas rush and shortages are over Bambu will catch up.
If they then get the message that not all their delivery services work as advertisedā¦
