The woes or printer profile ratings

Something I noticed when browsing unrelated stuff… How on earth is this still up?

good luck reporting those… so far i have reported over 30 stupid low ratings and got 0 taken away! We can report somone for not having a picture or stealing someone elses picture that will get taken away by their team but poor ratings are not… My guess is that they are very short on staff and prior the stuff that could make the website look bad other then the users first…

I’ve had a couple removed in the last couple of days, but, most have gone unanswered recently.

I see wayyyy worse on other plateforms thats what made it great here and thats why i was trying to give as much support as I could but I really feel like we are being left out lately idk … meaby im crazy

Same. They removed 5 star with an irrelevant photo and irrelevant text, but not the ones that are actually hurting stuff.

yeah thats pretty sad… :frowning: hopefully they get it fixed

Rating system is fubar. I have several prints that I rated, but do not come up on my history list. I printed a dragon egg, filled out the rating with a text message, but must have accidently closed it before I added pictures. So I tried to get back into rating to add the picture. It does not come up in my history, nor can I find it under my ratings tab. As far as some of the people complaining about 3 star ratings, thats also an issue with the system. Sometimes not always it will not allow you to put in more then 3 stars. It says you must complete print before you can give it higher rating, but the rating prompt came up after you completed the print. You have to rate it at 3 then go back in and rerate it to 5. But now I can not find how to get back into most of my ratings. They are not in history to rate.

It’s okay, you don’t have to bottle it up, tell us how you really feel…

On the flip side - recently someone rated my model in a way that brought it from below 4 stars purgatory to full ":star: :star: :star: :star: " and let me tell you - that rating made ma a lot happier than information about another 1 star rating being taken down.

would love to have your problem of 4 star

It stings, no matter whether you’ve got 14 or 14k downloads… And it gets annoying when you try to help the person giving you bad rating and they just don’t care and move on…

Honestly - it’s inversly proportional I think. Once you reach that level, you know your stuff is “good” and the 1-star rating is simply unjust and very likely user fault.

Yeah like this one, no response either

14k downloads and no bad review sounds like a pipedream, someone gonna have a problem regarless of the model, just as you’ll get some with good spirit

sometimes it’s not just the model, people are emotional and like here, not sure what broke his hat but he was still happy.
I dont want a 4 star any more than the next dude, but i accept the rating as is, would just be better the ones printing these would leave something with a explanation what is the problem so it can be fixed if it is not user error.
looking at how many print monocolor print’s i doubt many even consider reading the description.

Well… I mean… Your reply while 100% correct is a tad bit confrontational… I know it sounds silly, but maybe try adapting more of a “customer support” persona with number #5 smile on and entice user to be helped? In this instance maybe they went “oh shi… I’d rather not or I’ll get crushed”

It still stings…

That’s one of the problems… I had interactions where user started with bad rating, I asked what’s up, user explained, got help and adjusted rating. That’s how it should go. That was actually enjoyable. Another one I had was what started promising and then… nothing. Ghosted like a bad date…

From designer’s perspective – I want people printing my stuff to be as happy about the items they’ve printed as I am about them. I do test prints so I know that the stuff works. And if somebody prints and leaves bad rating because they had an issue – I can help, because it’s likely that I’ve encountered it and have a way to fix it! I don’t want my item to land in the trash nor do I want user to keep having problems (Because if they have problems with MY models oh they’ll certainly will have problems with other ones) because I enjoy 3D printing and sharing the models is a way for more people to enjoy it too!

From user’s perspective – since I’m now more “advanced” I pretty much know what can and does cause issues. There were handful of times now that I gave 4 stars because the print profile was flawed in a way that could be fixed (and one instance where a model should be fixed) and more people could benefit from those fixes. I had my share of failed prints and in all of those cases that was my fault and I haven’t burdened any designer with artificially capped 3-star rating.

Seeing both perspectives - I think it would be great if bambu could “force” user to take care of their printer. And not allow rating (with artificial rating cap) where there’s a hardware detectable error.

Otherwise, happy day?

He tried his Hardesty!

I get those even when I post detailed measurements.

That rating has nothing to do with the print profile, make sure to print it.

I think some sort of ban should be applied to users who continuously rate the model rather than “Did it print?”

You should suggest that the filament was cold :stuck_out_tongue:

Sincere question: what is the best response to this review when you know hundreds/thousands/tens-of-thousands didn’t have the issue:
:star::hole::hole::hole::hole: Bed adhesion issue”
